Of all the mortals in the Dragon Ball multiverse, Gohan Beast is generally considered among the strongest. In the current setting of the series, all the Saiyans have unlocked incredible new abilities and transformations that bring them even closer to the realm of the Gods of Destruction. Even though they aren’t even close to this level, they are still far stronger than they had ever been before in the franchise.
Due to the main characters of Dragon Ball unlocking these new forms, many believe Gohan Beast is on the level of Beerus and the other Destroyers. Though brief, the incredible display of power that this transformation has shown has been nothing short of spectacular, so let’s go over his power and see if there is any truth to the claim of Gohan now being on the level of Gods of Destruction.

To truly gauge the strength of Gohan Beast, one must first look at the power of the only two opponents he has gone up against. The first of these was the terrifying Cell Max, the strongest version of the Android that was gigantic and feral in nature, offering some of the most destructive potential out of any villain that the Z-Fighters have ever gone up against.
Cell Max’s strength was absolutely incredible, proving to be so great that it required the full power of Ultimate Gohan, Orange Piccolo, both Gamma Androids, and the remaining Z-Fighters on Earth to even stand somewhat of a chance against. However, this still wasn’t enough to properly take him down for good. Only after sustaining much damage from all of these characters was Cell Max weak enough for Gohan Beast to put down for good, though the showing of this power was incredible.
Gohan Beast was able to stop Cell Max’s punches dead in their tracks with minimal effort and beat him at blinding speeds. At the end of the fight, his Special Beam Cannon was so strong that it overpowered his opponent’s massive energy ball and killed the Android for good. Seeing as how Cell Max was hinted at as being so strong that even Goku and Vegeta might not have been able to put him down, it shows that Gohan Beast is incredibly powerful.
The other fight he had was against Goku’s Mastered Ultra Instinct form, where it was shown that both of them were evenly matched, which honestly speaks for itself. However, Gohan Beast was able to showcase the one way that Ultra Instinct can be overpowered, which is by moving at far greater speeds. In their fight, he moved so fast that the autonomous dodging of Ultra Instinct simply couldn’t react to it in time.
Ultra Instinct’s evasion couldn’t keep up with that speed!
With all this said, it’s clear to see why many believe Gohan Beast to be on the level of the Destroyer Gods. The argument compares him to Goku in his current state, since the latter has become the only mortal in the multiverse to achieve and master the technique of the Angels, which many believe is enough to put him on such a level of strength himself. If that is true, then Gohan also exists on this level due to how evenly matched the two were.
This would also be quite in line with Gohan’s character, since he has always been teased as having some of the greatest potential in the franchise, allowing him to close the gap between himself and Goku with a fraction of the effort. Right now, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, and Piccolo are all on a relative level of strength, with Black Frieza being the strongest mortal in Dragon Ball whom they will eventually have to defeat.

Is He Actually On Their Level?
In all likelihood, Gohan and the other main Z-Fighters are still currently not quite on the level of the Destroyers, though they are edging closer with each passing day. However, it is known that not all Destroyers are equal in strength, with some far eclipsing others. A great example of a weaker God of Destruction is Sidra, whose Destruction Energy wasn’t enough to erase either Goku or Frieza even back when they were in their obsolete Super Saiyan Blue and Golden forms, respectively.
Going off of this, it’s safe to assume that if Gohan Beast is at Destroyer God level, then he would likely be stronger than the lower-end deities such as Sidra due to the nature of power scaling in the franchise. However, even with this in mind, he would be far below the mid or high-level Destroyers, meaning that Gohan Beast wouldn’t stand a chance against someone like Beerus, Quitela, or even Belmod.
