How to Get the Igan Sunset Legendary Tanto in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Players can get the Igan Sunset legendary tanto from Tozuku’s Lair, an enemy camp northwest of Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The camp is a part of the Katano Foothills area in the Izumi Settsu region.

It’s the starting area where the open world will finally open up to the player after the prologue. So, before starting the next main quest, it’s definitely worth going north and getting this legendary tanto to make combat encounters easier.

Opening the Golden Chest to Get Igan Sunset Tanto

After arriving at Tozuku’s Lair, you’ll spot some enemies scattered around the camp. It’s best that you first take care of the two enemies near the bonfire. If you’re visiting this area early on, you probably won’t have the double assassination ability unlocked to take them out quietly. Regardless, once you’re done with them, take out the archer in the back to clear out the camp.

After all the enemies in the camp are eliminated, head inside one of the rooms and you’ll spot a golden chest. Open up the golden chest to get the Igan Sunset legendary tanto. Players will also get its legendary perk “Slow Time on Escape Strike,” which can be engraved on another legendary tanto as well.

Why Igan Sunset Legendary Tanto is Great

Igan Sunset is one of the best legendary tanto in Assassin’s Creed Shadows due to its unique ability to slow down time on Escape Strike. This triggers right after players pull off an escape strike, the time is slowed down, allowing them to either escape the combat encounter or quickly reposition themselves for a critical strike.

To use this ability, players will need to unlock the Escape Strike ability first in Naoe’s tanto skill tree in AC Shadows. After unlocking the Escape Strike, players will be able to utilize Igan Sunset’s legendary ability both in and out of combat. Pair this ability with the bonus vulnerability damage you get on the tanto, and players can quickly eliminate a group of foes with ease.
