How To Farm Monster Fluid In Monster Hunter Wilds

What makes matters worse is that there’s a high chance of not even running into the resource at all because of the lack of information surrounding it.

However, while elusive, there are a few places to search which might increase the chance of it appearing more often than not. If you need help finding Monster Fluid fast and at a consistent rate, this guide will show you where you can look.

How To Get Monster Fluid

Monster Hunter Wilds character is fallen on the ground with a two monster approaching him. The Palico is also fallen next to the creatures.

Akin to Guardian Seikret Feathers, only certain monsters will drop Monster Fluid

. The monsters you hunt will affect the drop rate of the resource.

Monsters that seem to guarantee the fluid to drop are Nerscylla Hatchlings. You can find them located in the Iceshard Cliffs, so your search shouldn’t be too difficult.

Monster Fluid is a Low Rank resource, which means you may not be able to find it in High Rank. If you’re in High Rank and need Monster Fluid, you can return to Alma’s Quest Counter and do an Optional Quest in the Iceshard Cliffs.

As you make it to the Iceshard Cliffs, head to Areas 2 and 4. These two spots seem to have a healthy amount of Nerscylla Hatchling. You may also find some wandering in other places too, like Area 3. So make sure you check around this region.

Monster Hunter Wilds Areas 2 and 4 in the Iceshard Cliffs with Nerscylla Hatchling selected.

Plus, you can also set a waypoint on the hatchling since they can be spotted on the map.

There are also a few other monsters that drop the Monster Fluid — but at a lower drop rate than the hatchling. They are as follows:

  • Lala Barina located in the Scarlet Forest.
  • Bulaqchi located in the Windward Plains.
  • Comaqchi located in the Iceshard Cliffs.
  • Vespoid found in Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, and Iceshard Cliffs.

How To Farm For Monster Fluid

Monster Hunter Wilds Lala Barina about to attack the player with Palico standing beside him. Both the character and Palico are standing on a red platform and Lala Barina is hanging in the background.

While you can cut down Nerscylla Hatchling and the other monsters easily, you’ll still have to wait for them to respawn if you’re farming materials.

There is a chance the monsters might not even yield the fluid despite high drop rates.

If you want to accumulate Monster Fluid quickly in a short amount of time, you can try certain Optional Quests. There are a few of them, so farming for Monster Fluid through these quests might be your best bet.

When you interactwith Alma’s Quest Counter, navigate to the Optional Quest tab,and scroll downwards till you see the following quests:

  • Buggin’ in the Desert
  • Buggin’ inthe Scarlet Forest
  • Every Rose…
  • Buggin’ inthe Cliffs
Monster Hunter Wilds Optional Quest page opened with Buggin' Out selected. The rewards on the right.

Most of these quests should be opened up to you already as they’re located in the starter areas of Monster Hunter Wilds.

For Buggin‘ in the Desert, youmay be able to get more Monster Fluid on top of the one you get from the rewards.

You’ll be tasked to kill 12 Bulaqchi for this quest. However, make sure you don’t kill all 12. Keep some alive as they respawn if you’ve killed all of them.

The reason is that when you don’t slay all the Bulaqchi, they become Rotten Carcass aftersome time of waiting. So when you go back and carve them, they should give you one Monster Fluid per carcass.

The wait time is usually a couple of minutes. You just need to be in the same area as the monster and ensure they’re not all dead.

Doing this method with the other monsters in the other quests may give you the same results. So, if you’re low on Monster Fluids, you can come back and repeat the steps above.
