GTA 6 may be a while, but sandbox hit Deliver At All Costs makes the wait easier

It’s not even out yet, but it already feels like GTA 6 has taken over the whole gaming world. Ever since that first trailer, it’s become the biggest and most-anticipated game perhaps ever – Grand Theft Auto 5 remains a titan, but we’re all eager for Rockstar’s sequel, and a long-awaited return to Vice City. The wait, however, is still ahead of us. Doom The Dark Ages, Atomfall, and Elden Ring Nightreign are coming to ease things along, but if you’ve got an appetite for sandbox chaos before the new Grand Theft Auto, your best call is Deliver At All Costs. A huge hit at Steam Next Fest, and published by Konami, it’s now got a confirmed release date.

In a 1950’s-inspired sandbox game world (imagine Fallout’s chunky retro-futurism, mixed with the pseudo-isometric view of Diablo 4 or Project Zomboid), Deliver At All Costs casts you as a frantic, speed-demon truck driver, whose job is to courier packages around town and hit your deadlines by any means necessary.

Everything is destructible. If there’s a building in your way, just smash right through it. At the same time, the whole world seems to be out to kill you. Landslides, meteors, and of course the local police all stand in your way – as well as fast, you need to be smart and nimble.

Boasting gorgeous visuals and a period-perfect rock-and-roll soundtrack, Deliver At All Costs was one of the 50 most-played games during the latest Steam Next Fest. And now, we finally know when it’s out. The Deliver At All Costs release date is confirmed for Thursday May 22. If you pre-order it now, you can also get it at a 10% discount, meaning you will pay $26.99 / £22.49. Just head here.

Otherwise, you might want to try some of the best open-world games, or find out everything there is to know about the GTA 6 release date, which we hope will be sooner rather than later.
