God Of War‘s 20th anniversary came and went without the reveal of a remastered trilogy that some of you were hoping for. That doesn’t mean you can’t relive the first three games and everything that has come since to celebrate 20 years of God Of War though as Santa Monica celebrated the milestone by putting music from every single game in the series all in one place.
It has done that via an impressive vinyl box set created in collaboration with Laced Records. The 13-disc collection not only includes music from the original God Of War trilogy inspired by Greek mythology and the newer Norse games, but also tracks from spinoffs such as Chains Of Olympus and Ascension.
Even the soundtrack to Valhalla, 2023’s Ragnarok expansion, is included, marking the first time its OST has ever received a physical release. The same applies to the original God Of War trilogy which is why, if you don’t want to spend $300 on the entire musical God Of War saga, the original three games also have standalone soundtrack releases to accompany the anniversary vinyl set reveal.

Each of the original three games has a double LP of its own, and they cost $42 each, so if there’s a particular soundtrack from that original God Of War run that sticks out to you as the best, you can just pre-order that one. Whether you’re eyeing up the full set or just one of the double LPs, every item in the collection has three options to choose from – limited edition special color striped white-red-white (Greek saga) and white-blue-white (Norse saga) LPs, limited edition alternating solid colour (white-red & white-blue) LPs, or standard edition black LPs.
There are 150 tracks from throughout the God Of War saga spread across the 13 discs, including music from iconic composers like Bear McReary who composed the music for the Norse leg of Kratos’s journey. While we don’t know what’s next in the God Of War series on the video game front, we do know that there’s a TV adaptation in the works. Showrunner Ronald Moore shed some light on how things are going with the adaptation this week, revealing Amazon has already greenlit two seasons.
