Dyrachyo leaves Tundra Esports
Dyrachyo’s departure from Tundra Esports has long been speculated over the past weeks. Despite the decent success Tundra experienced from BLAST Slam II and FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1, the team struggled to win more tournaments. Nevertheless, Tundra still remained a formidable Dota 2 powerhouse despite not winning every tournament.
Fast forward to the conclusion of PGL Wallachia S3, where Team Liquid defeated Tundra, dyrachyo finally had enough and decided he wanted to take a break from competitive Dota 2.
Why is dyrachyo taking a break from Dota 2?
According to Tundra Esports’ announcement, dyrachyo is experiencing burnout and doesn’t find Dota 2 fun anymore. Despite his young age, dyrachyo’s pro career started seven years ago. He has played for many Dota 2 teams, such as Team Spirit, Gambit Esports and Winstrike Team.
However, his most notable experience is definitely with Gaimin Gladiators, where he spent three years in and won first runner-up in The Internationals Championship twice. Even though Gaimin Gladiators and dyrachyo had their differences, it’s still amazing that dyrachyo has played consistently for seven years without stopping, but this commitment has finally taken its toll on his wellbeing.
Dyrachyo shared that he no longer enjoys competitive Dota 2 and even believes that there are too many Dota 2 tournaments happening too frequently. Frankly, there is some truth to his complaint since we have had more Dota 2 Esports events ever since third-party tournaments took over the official Dota Pro Circuit.
When will dyrachyo return to competitive Dota 2 Esports?
As of now, dyrachyo did not share any timeline, so we won’t be expecting him to return anytime soon. However, fans are still hoping that the young prodigy will consider returning just in time for the International 2025 (TI14), which is set for September this year.
With five months until the grandest Dota 2 tournament of the year, dyrachyo’s return would certainly spark joy for many fans. Moreover, dyrachyo does have unfinished business at TI14, that is to finally win it.
