Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Canon Mode Was Added Because Fans Wanted A “Definitive” Narrative
Don’t worry, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has a set place in the series’ canon.
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ opening region, Izumi Settsu, there is a worried farmer who is deeply concerned about the recent outbreak of bandits in his region and wants to help stop their chaos. Of course, that means you’ll need to hunt down bandits across the land to complete Out To Pasture, but this simple task is harder than it seems.
How To Start ‘Out To Pasture’
Speak to the Worried Farmer to the east outside of Sakai to begin “Out to Pasture” and receive information about the dangers lurking around the area recently.
This level ten quest tasks you with killing 25, 50, and then 100 bandits in Izumi Settsu to earn the designated rewards. This quest doesn’t have a set location when you track it, as you can defeat any bandits in the Izumi Settsu area for this to count.
You do not need to get the final blow on a bandit, but they must be a bandit-class enemy to count. Samurai and others do not count.
This is a great quest to grab early on and complete as you face bandits during your travels within the story.
Where To Find Bandits In Izumi Settsu
There are several locations where bandits can spawn across the region, so we’ve narrowed down some of the best Izumi Settsu bandit locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
-
West down the road from the Old Kofun, another spawn of bandits will appear, usually harassing an innocent person.
-
Keep following the road east and you’ll encounter the Makinoodera Lookout Point. From the lookout point, head northwest along the path heading toward the Tennoji Temple.
Bandits are more likely to appear further away from settlements, so use the temples and points of interest to guide your path.
-
-
If you’re running low or still need to kill more bandits, you should follow the road north of Kawachi Heights, as if heading up toward Tomiko’s Homestead, more bandits will appear along this path.
Target Bandit Camps
Certain locations are ideal spots to find a group, as bandit camps typically boast five to ten spawns for you to add to your total. Since every bandit location respawns enemies, these areas will offer the most bang for your buck, as there will be several spawns that appear each time the seasons refresh.
-
To the east of the Tennoji Temple, there’s another small bandit camp where you can get a few more kills added to your list.
Heading east between Osaka and the Kawachi Lost Pagoda fast-travel, you’ll find a small group of bandits wandering the area.
-
Once you’ve completed the challenges, you can turn your attention to the rewards.
