Xbox Game Pass Standard has added Octopath Traveler 2 and Train Sim World 5 to its ever-expanding content catalog. At least two more titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass Standard in March 2025.
While Microsoft’s subscription service adds new games on a weekly basis, its Standard-tier library is updated less frequently. The first title that reached Xbox Game Pass in March 2025 was Galacticare, which has been available on higher tiers of the service since May 2024. Enter the Gungeon then followed suit on March 11.

April 2025 is shaping up to be a rather exciting month for those that are signed up for Xbox Game Pass.
Two more titles have now reached Xbox Game Pass Standard on March 19, when the subscription service added Train Sim World 5 and Octopath Traveler 2. The former has been available to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers since September 2024, whereas Octopath Traveler 2 originally debuted on the service three months earlier. Both of these newly added titles boast thousands of “Very Positive” Steam user reviews. Octopath Traveler 2 also holds a 4.6-star player rating on the Xbox Store, while Train Sim World 5 has a slightly lower Xbox user score, standing at exactly 3 stars on Microsoft’s storefront.

Train Sim World 5 and Octopath Traveler 2 are the first titles from the Xbox Game Pass March 2025 Wave 2 lineup. At least two more games are coming to XGP Standard before the end of the month, with Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island and Blizzard Arcade Collection being scheduled to arrive on March 20 and March 25, respectively. XGP Standard is hence on course to receive seven games over the course of this month, which puts March slightly below February 2025, when this subscription tier added eight titles.
The next batch of XGP Standard games is expected to be announced alongside the Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 lineup. Given Microsoft’s historical tendency to make such announcements on Tuesdays, April 1 is the likeliest date for this to happen. In the meantime, other Xbox Game Pass tiers are scheduled to receive six more titles before the end of the month. Three of them are Core-only releases, with Tunic, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Monster Sanctuary all being set to reach the lowest tier of the service on March 26. Atomfall will then have a day-one release on XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass a day later.
