The Ant King Unleashes Wrath Upon Korean Hunters After Queen’s Death

He Eats Queen’s Brain To See Who Exactly Killed Her

The S-Rank Korean Hunters did a great job at separating the Queen from most of her ant army. While the Japanese Hunters kept the army busy, the S-Rank Hunters from Korea entered the nest to kill the Queen. The Queen was the primary target from the very start, as the Hunters believed that the remaining ants would die within a year after the Queen’s death. At this point, the mission would have been successful, but no one ever imagined the birth of an entity like the Ant King.

The Ant King was humiliating the Japanese Hunters outside of the nest, but he had to stop having fun after hearing the Queen’s cry. He instantly flew toward the nest and was greeted by the Korean Hunters. Instead of annihilating the Hunters instantly, the Ant King went near the Queen’s slaughtered body and ate her brains. This action from the Ant King might have surprised many fans, but interestingly, this goes very well with the Hybrid’s ant character. Apparently, the Ant King ate the Queen’s brain to see who landed the killing blow on her through her memories.

You have killed our Queen. Killing your soldiers will not make up for that. Where is your King? – The Ant King to Baek Yoonho.

The Ant King can clearly learn things about his prey after eating their brains. It is evident from the fact that he was able to speak the human tongue after eating off Min Byung-Gyu’s head. So, it was important for him to eat the Queen’s brain to find out who exactly was responsible for her death. Upon consuming the Queen’s flesh, he must have sensed the pain the Queen went through after being slashed by Cha Hae-In. That is why he screamed in anger and charged toward Cha Hae-In.

Of course, he could have simply killed every Hunter on the scene without even bothering about the Queen’s killer. So, why exactly did he eat the Queen’s brain? Well, the Ant King was loyal to the Queen, so he wanted to humiliate and torture everyone responsible for the Queen’s death. The Hybrid Ant didn’t want to give the hunters easy deaths; he wanted them to be scared and make the humans aware that they were being punished.

The Ant King Wants To Take Revenge By Killing The Strongest Hunter On The Island

That Is Why He Seeks The King Of Humans

The Ant King was furious after the Queen’s death, and the first Hunter to face his wrath was Cha Hae-In, who landed the killing blow on the Ant. After that, the King went on to humiliate other S-Rank Hunters on the scene with his might. The Hybrid Ant previously killed Japanese Hunters with a single hit, but he didn’t do that with the Korean Hunters. The S-Rank Hunters from Korea were responsible for his Queen’s death, so the Ant King wanted to punish them by killing them slowly.

The King of the Ants realized that these Hunters were too weak for him, and killing mere soldiers wouldn’t have been enough to avenge the Queen. So, he asked Yoonho about their King. There isn’t exactly a “human king,” but the Ant King assumed the strongest human fighter on the island would be their King. He then sensed a stronger human outside of the nest, who, at the time, was Goto Ryuji.

Sung Jin-Woo has one of the most drastic personality changes in anime and manhwa history.

The Ant King asks Goto if he’s the King of humans, to which Goto agrees. It’s hard to know if Goto agreed to be called the human King out of arrogance or because he thought it didn’t matter what he replied. Regardless, Goto was the strongest human on the island at the time, and shedding his blood would have given some satisfaction to the Ant King. So, without wasting a second, the Hybrid monster unleashes his menacing aura and charges at the S-Rank Hunter from Japan.

Even though we haven’t seen his death on screen in the last episode, we know that Goto is now dead. The Ant King kills the Hunter in just two strikes, but now, he must get ready to fight Jinwoo, who is destined to become the Shadow Monarch in Solo Leveling and inherit the powers of Ashborn.
