During any type of combat in Honkai: Star Rail, you can use up to four characters in a team while having up to five enemies against you at a time. However, if you want to defeat enemies in various endgame modes, you need to have good synergy between each team member.

Honkai: Star Rail – Mydei Build Guide
Mydei is an Imaginary Destruction character in Honkai: Star Rail, and here’s everything you need to know while building him.
Your team usually consists of a main DPS like Mydei, who is a five-star Imaginary Destruction character, alongside support units that can bring the best out of him. The overall damage you get from Mydei can be highly affected by the team members you use.

Luocha |

If you want to get the highest possible value from Mydei, you’ll have to use him alongside three other limited five-star characters. When you first get 100 Charge on Mydei, he enters a Vendetta state, in which, he automatically attacks the target with his skill when he gets a turn.
Once Mydei enters the Vendetta state in combat, he doesn’t go out of it unless you take a fatal blow more than three times. Moreover, he doesn’t consume any Skill Points while using his Skill automatically. When you get enough Charge during the Vendetta state, he can activate a buffed attack that deals even more damage.
You can change the primary target of the buffed attack with your Ultimate as the attack will be used on your Ultimate’s main target.
Since Mydei is essentially a Skill-Point-neutral character, you can use characters like Sunday with him, who can constantly advance his turn to give him extra attacks. However, when you use these two characters together, you’ll have to tune Mydei’s SPD so that he goes just before Sunday and can get double attacks.
Furthermore, Tribbie can give him All-Type RES PEN and DMG increase while also dealing a bunch of damage herself. Tribbie’s damage also scales on her HP, which gets increased based on the team’s HP in her Ultimate, making her a perfect fit for Mydei since he will easily have over 8,000 HP.
Mydei already has a 56 percent Crit Rate with his base kit and the best relic set, and Sunday gives him another 20 percent.
Having a 76 percent Crit Rate at all times in the battle makes it a lot easier to get high Crit DMG on him with relics.
Finally, Luocha is the best sustainer for Mydei since he can regenerate all allies’ HP when they attack an enemy within his field, which largely has a 100 percent uptime. This will help Mydei overcome the HP consumption from his attacks while also helping him get Charge faster.
Mydei F2P Team
Character |
Role In Team |
---|---|
Mydei |
Main DPS |
Remembrance Trailblazer |
Support/Movement Advance |
Bronya |
Support/Movement Advance |
Gallagher |
Healer |
Thankfully, Mydei is one of the few characters that doesn’t see a massive damage drop between his best and F2P teams. This is mainly because of the overpowered kit given to Remembrance Trailblazer that can not only advance his movement once in a while but also deal extra True DMG based on his damage.
If you’ve been playing Honkai: Star Rail for a while, even as an F2P player, there’s a high chance that you already have Bronya as she’s a Standard character. If you do, then she’s a great character for Mydei in this team since she can constantly advance his movement while giving him a Crit DMG bonus.
In case you don’t have Bronya on your account, you can also go with Pela for an AoE DEF-shred.
Once again, Gallagher serves the purpose of keeping Mydei alive in this team as he can heal any character that attacks the enemies with his Besotted debuff. He can also reduce the enemy’s ATK, which will prevent Mydei from taking a fatal blow in a lot of scenarios.
However, if you’re confident that you can keep Mydei alive, you can also go for Lynx as the healer since she can increase his HP. Lynx also increases the chances of him getting attacked but he has the enemies taunted most of the time, making this not-so-useful.
