Legacy Costumes

Tales of Symphonia introduced the tradition of additional costumes for characters, including legacy costumes inspired by previous Tales of titles. Tales of Graces f Remastered continues this tradition through Titles. Costume Titles, marked with a cat-head icon in the Titles menu, allow characters to wear new outfits once they have learned the associated costume skill. These can then be equipped in the Status menu.

In the table below, Tales of Destiny 2 refers to the Japanese title, not Tales of Eternia, which was originally localized under the name Tales of Destiny 2 in North America.

It seems that National Castle Day is observed in Efinea as well! Richard chimes in, reminding everyone that it’s April 6, National Castle Day, making it the perfect time for such a discussion. Cameo Fight

Warrior’s Roost is an isolated island dedicated to combat, serving as the ultimate proving ground for warriors seeking to test their strength. At the heart of the Roost stands the legendary Trio of Titans—the three strongest fighters in the arena. However, these fearsome warriors aren’t just any challengers; they are Amber (Kohaku) from Tales of Hearts R, Reala from Tales of Destiny 2, and Veigue from Tales of Rebirth, making this a true Tales of series crossover showdown.

To face these warriors, you must unlock their battles by meeting specific conditions:

  • Veigue: Clear the Riot Peak Trials on Normal Class.
  • Amber: Obtain the Lost Anklet from the Carta King and submit it through the Warrior’s Roost Requests.
  • Reala: Find the Hero Staff and turn it in through the Warrior’s Roost Requests.
  • All Three (Final Battle): Complete the Strange Folk sidequest to obtain Requiem and turn it in through the Warrior’s Roost Requests.

Headmaster’s Bust

During the seven-year gap between the childhood arc and the main arc, Barona’s Knight Academy erected a bust honoring its first headmaster, the architect of the school’s specialized training curriculum. However, if you take a closer look, you might notice something peculiar… the statue bears an uncanny resemblance to Kratos Aurion from Tales of Symphonia.

As you enter the Korner, you’ll notice a carnival game in the far left corner next to a carousel and a ladder. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find three Beryl plushies on display, a reference to Tales of Hearts.

What’s more, you’ll also spot small taiko drums from Taiko no Tatsujin on either side of the plushies. Though you can’t interact with the carnival game itself, if you examine the plushies, your character will remark them, noting that they look like they were modeled after a painter.

3

Rare Creature Scholar

When you first arrive in Strahta, your journey begins in Oul Raye, where you decide to travel towards the town of Sable Izolle. As you make your way through the desert, you’ll come across a lone scholar enthusiastically cataloging rare creatures. Pascal, always eager to chat, will strike up a conversation with him.

After speaking with the scholar, he’ll give you the Book of Rare Creatures, which you can turn in at Oul Raye to complete a request.

One of the creatures he describes is Rare Creature No. 51, which he notes has been observed assisting people with their tasks. This is a direct reference to Quickie, the small, rabbit-like companion of Meredy from Tales of Eternia (localized in the West as Tales of Destiny 2). Just as the scholar describes, Quickie is more than just a pet; he actively aids Meredy and her friends on their journey. Throughout the game, he warns the party of danger, listens to commands issued through whistles, and even plays a crucial role in some puzzles.

Important Passwords And Chests

As you journey across the world of Efinea, you’ll come across twelve password-protected chests, each hiding valuable rewards. Nearby clues will help you uncover the passwords, making it easy to jot them down, unlock the chests, and claim your prizes. However, if you take a closer look at the passwords themselves, you’ll notice an intriguing Easter egg: one of them holds special significance to the original Tales of Graces release.

Tales of Graces f Remastered changed the passwords from the original game from words to number combinations.

While exploring Barona, you’ll find a locked chest in the office at the Knights’ Academy. The password for this chest is posted on the notice board outside Bar Tactics, Malik’s favorite pub: 091210. This number isn’t random, it’s the Japanese release date of the original Tales of Graces game, December 10, 2009.
