Assassin’s Creed Shadows is full of big surprises, but one of the biggest comes during the “The Wheel Unmasked” main story mission when Yasuke and Naoe discover that Lady Oichi is one of the Shibakufu. After her deception is uncovered, players will need to decide whether to spare Lady Oichi as Yasuke or attack her as Naoe.

Every Assassin’s Creed Game, Ranked
From the original to now, every Assassin’s Creed game has its highs and lows, but which is the best?
Given Yasuke’s past relationship with Lady Oichi and the strong feelings that he still has for her, there’s an obvious incentive to let her live. However, this would go against Naoe’s quest for vengeance, potentially causing a rift between her and her new ally. On paper, Assassin’s Creed Shadows players have a difficult choice to make.
Should You Spare as Yasuke or Attack as Naoe?
Sadly, it doesn’t make any difference whether players choose to spare or attack Lady Oichi, at least not in the long run, that is. As such, players should choose whichever option they think is best; whether that be satiating Naoe’s thirst for vengeance or Yasuke’s thirst for Lady Oichi. Her fate will remain the same either way.
What Happens if You Spare Lady Oichi as Yasuke?
If players choose to spare Lady Oichi as Yasuke, she’ll explain how she ended up becoming a member of the Shimbakufu and express her remorse for the things that she’s done. She then hands over her brother’s legendary long katana, Myth Slayer, after which, Naoe and Yasuke have a heart-to-heart conversation and the mission comes to an end.
What Happens if You Attack Lady Oichi as Naoe?
If players choose to attack as Naoe, Naoe will attempt to stab Lady Oichi with her blade. However, at the last second, Kuma steps in and is impaled through the chest. It’s alright though, as during the next scene, Lady Oichi confirms that Kuma is going to be just fine. Her conversation with Yasuke is slightly different than it would be if players chose the spare option, but the end result remains the same: Lady Oichi is spared.
