Pocketpair has released a major Palworld update, introducing cross-play on all platforms, along with the “Global Palbox”—a new system that allows players to store Pal data and transfer Pals between worlds. Palworld’s update v0.5.0 is already available, bringing new features, balance adjustments, UI tweaks, and plenty of bug fixes.
Palworld was a smash hit among fans of monster-taming games in 2024, and its success continues to make waves in the industry. In February 2025, Pocketpair revealed that Palworld has amassed more than 32 million players across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. In addition to its engaging mechanics, which include creature collection, crafting, building, and combat within an open-world environment, the game has been steadily receiving improvements and content updates that have helped maintain its relevance. Now, a new update with exciting new features for players has been released.

Palworld developer Pocketpair shares a bit more about the lawsuit issued by Nintendo after refraining from discussing the matter for some time.
Pocketpair has finally released the highly anticipated Palworld crossplay update, allowing users to play together across all platforms. In addition to this, update v0.5.0—already available for players—also adds the Global Palbox feature, which lets players store Pal data to transfer Pals between worlds. There is also a new storage system, larger than Palboxes, that allows Guild members to access it. Players can now also enjoy the new Cosmetic Armour System, which lets them change their character’s appearance without affecting armor stats.
Palworld Update 0.5.0 Introduces Cross-Play Across All Platforms
A new Photo Mode has also been introduced in Palworld‘s crossplay update. Players can access this feature through the Pal Command Wheel and hide the UI to take screenshots. Another interesting new feature is the Drafting Table, which can be used to create higher-rarity blueprints by combining lower-rarity ones. Additionally, the update introduces several adjustments across different aspects of the game, such as buildings, which can now be placed even if a Pal is obstructing the way.
Players exploring the world of Palworld will now encounter new NPCs, notice improvements in NPC behavior during conversations, and see that some human NPCs now have new work animations. NPC event rewards have also been adjusted, and all their conversation logs have been reset so that players can claim the rewards again. Chest rewards have also been fine-tuned to ensure they always drop Dog Coins.
The update introduced some UI changes, and now players can see their Favorites categorized into 1, 2, and 3 groups, along with a new sorting option for the Pal Box and an “Extra Large” text size option. Plenty of bugs have also been fixed, addressing issues with combat, exploration, dedicated servers, and more. While players explore all the new features in the update, they can already try out the new Palworld cross-play feature.
