Best Mydei Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
In order to make the most of his attacks, build Mydei with Scholar Lost in Erudition to increase his Crit Rate alongside giving him 20% extra DMG on his Ultimate and Skill. When casting his Ultimate, Mydei will further increase his Skill DMG by 25%, which is where all his DPS comes from. So, Scholar Lost in Erudition is a perfect Relic Set for Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail. Longevous Disciple works fine on Mydei and gives him the essential stats he needs, but it doesn’t come close to how good Scholar Lost in Erudition is on him.
For Planar Ornaments, build Mydei with Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne to give him extra Crit DMG and HP%. Rutilant Arena is also good as it increases his Crit Rate and Skill DMG%. Mydei gets a lot of Crit Rate from his third Trace, and it’s sufficient enough if your Relics’ Sub-stats hit on Crit Rate a couple of times. So, taking advantage of all that free Crit Rate and building Mydei on maximum Crit DMG is recommended to improve his DPS notably.
Best Mydei Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail
Finding a good Light Cone for Mydei is not easy since he doesn’t scale with ATK%, which is what most characters scale with. However, similar to Blade in Honkai: Star Rail, Mydei can work with some of the Destruction Light Cones. Starting with Flame of Blood, Blaze My Path, is Mydei’s Best-in-Slot as it provides him with essential stats like Max HP and Incoming Healing. It also significantly boosts Mydei’s DMG by 60% since he easily meets the passive’s requirements—nothing too surprising for a Signature Weapon. Alternatively, you can equip Mydei with The Unreachable Side Light Cone to enhance his Crit Rate and Max HP while also providing a modest increase in his DMG when he sacrifices his own HP.
Entering the 4-star selection, Flames Afar serves as a good Destruction Light Cone for Mydei as it heals him each time he sacrifices his HP and increases his DMG by up to 50%, depending on the Light Cone’s Superimposition. Ninja Record: Sound Hunt is a very close alternative with its added Max HP and Crit DMG.
If you don’t have Flames Afar or Ninja Record: Sound Hunt, consider A Secret Vow. While it’s not stable for Mydei’s gameplay since he frequently sacrifices HP and tends to remain below enemies’ HP levels, the extra 40% DMG is still beneficial and can boost his DPS.
