The latest League of Legends update for March 2025 has been announced, featuring a complete rework of one of the game’s champions. Since its debut in 2009, the competitive online multiplayer title has remained hugely popular among its loyal fanbase. League of Legends played a key role in bringing esports to a broader audience and continues to be one of the most-played MOBAs today. With regular updates, the game keeps its content fresh and exciting for its dedicated army of players.
The February update for League of Legends brought several champion adjustments, including significant buffs for Ekko and Diana. It also completely revamped the Honor system, aligning it more closely with player behavior and introducing new rewards tied to Honor levels to encourage positive interactions. Additionally, the update featured a variety of new cosmetics and the usual round of bug fixes, with the March update set to bring on even more changes.

League of Legends Hextech Chests Are Making a Comeback
League of Legends’ Hextech Chests are set to officially be added back to the game in the near future, reversing their controversial removal.
As recently announced on the official League of Legends site, the details for March’s update 25.06 are here, marking the final patch of Set 13. It brings a major rework for Naafiri, along with adjustments for several other champions. Additionally, the update will see the return of Your Shop and will reimburse LP for players who lose matches against cheaters. It also includes numerous bug fixes, as well as system and item changes.
Naafiri debuted in League of Legends in 2023 as a Darkin assassin with a unique playstyle that allows her to summon packs of hounds to aid in combat. The latest update introduces changes to her base stats, including an increase in base AD and a decrease in base armor. It also tweaks her signature ability, Call of the Pack, by reducing its cooldown time and lowering its mana cost. These adjustments aim to balance her power, but Naafiri builds in League of Legends will likely remain popular among players, especially those who prefer an aggressive playstyle.
Cheating has been an ongoing issue in League of Legends, as it is in many competitive online games. The latest update aims to address this by refunding LP to losing teams if cheating is detected from the opposing side. However, to prevent players from intentionally queuing with cheaters to gain LP, those who engage in this behavior will be banned.
The March update also brings numerous nerfs, buffs, and adjustments to the League of Legends roster of champions. Notable changes include an increase in Gwen’s base health, a reduced cooldown for Kai’Sa’s Killer Instinct attack, and a reduction to Corki’s base armor. Along with these changes, there are plenty of other improvements and modifications, giving players a more balanced experience as they battle it out across Runeterra.
League of Legends March 2025 Patch Notes
Your Shop returns
As was highlighted in patch 25.05, Your Shop will be returning this patch. There were concerns that the system would be removed from the game entirely after the Hextech Chest controversy, but, fortunately for LoL players who like discounts, it’ll be coming back this patch.
LP refunds
If a cheater is detected in a past match that you lost, LP will now be refunded to the losing team. Winning teams won’t lose LP unless they’re found to be repeatedly queuing with someone who’s cheating. In that case, those who are intentionally queuing with offending players will also be banned.
