How to get more mon (make money) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
There are a few ways to get more mon in the game:
- Obtained as loot/rewards from enemies, chests, and missions.
- Obtained when you sell valuables (i.e. junk or miscellaneous items).
- Purchased from the store using Helix Credits.
Earning more mon from loot rewards
Assassin’s Creed Shadows mon is easily earned as you progress through the game. Several actions and activities net you this currency:
- Completing missions grants a fixed amount of mon.
- Opening certain treasure chests might net a bit of mon, along with all sorts of gear and hideout resources.
- Enemies that you defeat might drop mon as well, though only a small amount.
Earning more mon from valuables
You may also end up looting common/miscellaneous items known as valuables–i.e. jewelry, pottery, and the like. You can sell these to vendor NPCs by checking out the Sell tab, and then pressing and holding the “Sell All Valuables” prompt.
Should you buy mon from the microtransactions store?
It’s possible to purchase mon from the microtransactions store using Helix Credits (i.e. premium currency). The following packs can be found when you access the store:
- Medium Mon Pack: 4,000 Mon – Costs 1,000 Helix Credits.
- Large Mon Pack: 12,000 Mon – Costs 2,000 Helix Credits.
We definitely don’t recommend this, since amassing mon is fairly easy through general progression and exploration. There’s no need to waste real cash just to get virtual currency.
What is mon used for?
Mon has several functions in the game. You can spend your money to buy items from vendors, like gear, accessories, mounts, and more. In the same vein, mon is used to upgrade/add engravings to your weapons and armor.
