WWE 2K25 allows players to customize the move-set of their favorite WWE wrestlers. This feature is particularly useful, as some wrestlers may add new moves to their repertoire, or you might feel that a wrestler’s default moves don’t accurately reflect their real-life counterparts.

WWE 2K25: How To Perform Catch Finishers
Players can turn the tide of a match by performing a Catch Finisher out of nowhere in WWE 2K25.
It’s also advantageous for custom characters, as you can adjust and update their finishing moves after creating them — or if you’re trying to recreate a real-life wrestler who isn’t included in the WWE roster. This guide will explain how to change a WWE Superstar‘s move-set in WWE 2K25.
How To Customize A Wrestler’s Move Set In WWE 2K25
To change a WWE wrestler’s regular move-set, submission, signature, or finishing move in WWE 2K25, use the following steps:
- Press the RB/R1 button to open the Creations menu.
- Highlight and open the Move-Set tab.
- You can now customize and swap out any move from the standing attacks, to the grounded grapple moves.
This menu will even let you change the wrestler’s actions in Ladder, Tables, Tag Team, Royal Rumble, and the Hell in a Cell match.
Practice Your Reversals
A new feature in WWE 2K25’s move settings is the ability to practice reversals for specific moves. If you’re having trouble reversing a particular move, signature, or WWE finisher, you can practice reversing it by using the following steps:
- Select any move from a wrestler’s move-set.
- Then, press X/Square to preview the move.
- Now, press Y/Triangle to open Reversal Practice.
- You can now practice reversing that specific move in WWE 2K25.
Adjusting The Move-Set AI In WWE 2K25
One of the most significant new features of WWE 2K25‘s Move-Sets is the ability to adjust the artificial intelligence’s frequency and timing with which a WWE Superstar or created wrestler utilizes moves in a match. Unfortunately, this fine-tuning feature is easy to miss. Use the following steps to adjust the Move-Set AI:
- Go back into Creations and select Move-Set.
- Select your WWE Wrestler from the list.
- Now, select Moves.
- Select a move from the standing, ground, corner, rope, Irish Whip, springboard attacks, apron, holds, and diving lists.
You can’t adjust the AI for signature and finisher moves. The AI will likely perform these moves when they have built up their blue and yellow meters.
- Highlight the move you want to adjust so the WWE wrestlers demonstrate it on the screen.
- Press RB/R1 to access the new AI Settings menu for the moves you’ve selected.
Move Priority
- Average: No special priority assigned. The AI may or may not use the move in the match.
- Preferred: The AI will choose to use the move in the correct position.
- Favorite: The AI will set up their opponent and create openings to use the move in a match.
- Low: The AI is unlikely to use the assigned move.
- Very Low: The AI is unlikely to use the move. You could assign a different move outline above.
Move Repetition
- Default: The AI will avoid using moves twice in quick succession.
- Allow Repeats: The AI will perform the same move twice.
- Only Once: The AI is less likely to perform the move more than once.
- Allow Flurry: The AI may repeat the move 2–3 times in a short space of time
- Prefer Flurry: The AI will prefer to use a move 2–3 times in a row.
Move Timing
- Any: The AI uses the assigned move anytime in the match.
- Avoid Early Match: The AI avoids using the move in the early match.
- Prefer Early Match: The AI will likely perform the move early in the match.
- Early Match Only: The AI will only consider using the assigned move early in the match.
- Avoid Late Match: The AI is less likely to use the move late in the match.
- Prefer Late Match: The AI is more likely to use the move later in the match.
- Late Match Only: The AI will only consider using the move later into the match.
That’s everything required to customize the move-sets and even change how the AI uses them in WWE 2K25.
