but doesn’t strictly require a sub-DPS to function effectively. However, certain characters naturally synergize better with him than others. In general, Mydei performs best with teammates who provide buffs to stats like HP, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or overall DMG. Characters capable of applying universal buffs or debuffs, such as RES Pen, can also be invaluable in boosting his damage potential. Additionally, because Mydei thrives on
taking frequent actions
and maximizing the use of his Ultimate, units that can enable this—whether through energy regeneration or turn manipulation—can elevate his performance further. Below are some of Mydei’s optimal team compositions, catering to both F2P players and those with access to premium characters:
Mydei + Sunday + Tribbie + Luocha
Mydei Premium Team
Mydei can excel with a variety of support units, but the combination of Sunday and
Tribbie stands out as his optimal team setup
. Since Mydei doesn’t rely on ATK or follow-up DMG buffs provided by characters like Robin, these units can be reserved for other team compositions. Skill point management remains a key consideration, though not
enough to necessitate Sparkle
, as Mydei prioritizes using his Skill over his Basic Attack during his turns.
Sunday is an excellent support for Mydei, as he is skill point neutral and can advance Mydei’s turn order with his Skill while boosting his DMG and Crit Rate. Additionally, Sunday’s Ultimate provides a Crit DMG buff and restores energy for Mydei, making him an ideal choice for maximizing his damage potential.
Tribbie complements this setup perfectly. She scales with HP and offers universal buffs like RES Pen with her Skill and increased enemy DMG taken when her Ultimate zone is active. Furthermore, Tribbie’s DMG benefits from the combined HP of the team due to her bonus ability, making a synergy with Mydei’s HP-scaling mechanics especially valuable for increasing her own damage output. If players equip Tribbie with Dance! Dance! Dance! (DDD) light cone, she will also be able to advance forward all allies, which will be quite valuable in Mydei’s team comps since he prefers having high SPD.
For the healer slot, players have great flexibility. Any sustain unit works well with Mydei, but healers are particularly effective. Premium options like Luocha are highly recommended, as his skill point-positive nature and powerful overhealing capabilities make him an excellent fit for Mydei’s team. He will also be able to dispell debuffs from the team, while also dispelling buffs from the enemies which will come particularly useful in content where enemy might be buffing themselves significantly. Conversely, units like Lingsha or Huohuo might be better suited for FuA, Break-oriented, or ATK-scaling teams, leaving Luocha as the preferable choice for Mydei’s sustain. Nevertheless if players have no access to Luocha, they will also work wonderfully, or even F2P units like Lynx will benefit him.

For sustain, Lynx is a fantastic F2P option with surprising synergy for Mydei. Not only does Lynx offer
team-wide cleansing and solid healing
, but she also enhances Mydei’s survivability and damage potential. Her ability to increase the aggro of Destruction and Preservation path units allows enemies to target Mydei more frequently. Additionally, her Skill can apply Survival Response, which boosts Mydei’s Max HP among other things—further amplifying his damage scaling and survivability. Players with access to Lynx’s sixth Eidolon will find the HP increasing effect to be even more potent, elevating her to a level comparable to premium sustain units in Mydei’s team compositions.
