One Piece: Oda Has Decided Where Zoro Vs Mihawk Will Happen

Zoro vs Mihawk is the most anticipated fight in One Piece. Oda has already decided when and where it will take place.

But, while the best of One Piece is most certainly going to be in the Final Saga, this part hasn’t exactly kickstarted, because whatever fans have seen so far is just the beginning, and the calm before the storm. There is a major storm that’s heading fans’ way, and it’ll be incredibly exciting to see what comes next. One of the most exciting things that Oda is currently setting up in the Final Saga of One Piece is the return of Rocks, and while fans might doubt it, it most certainly is happening.

How Big Mom and Kaido Brought Rocks Back

  • Big Mom and Kaido’s Alliance Was Called The Return Of The Rocks
  • The Alliance Was Broken By Luffy and His Allies

The Rocks Pirates were revealed to the fans rather recently in One Piece, around chapter 957, for the very first time. With time, more lore about the Rocks Pirates was revealed by Oda, and even in the Egghead Arc, fans found out a great deal about them. The leader of the Rocks Pirates was a legendary captain, Rocks D. Xebec, who wanted to become the King of the World. Rocks had many powerful pirates under him, such as Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kaido, Captain John, Gloriosa, Stussy, Wang Zhi, and Silver Axe, among others. This crew was, quite possibly, the most monstrously powerful crew that fans have seen in the history of One Piece, and its acts were such that the crew itself was considered a terrorist organization that openly declared war against the Government.

Let’s put aside our differences and claim it…the One Piece, that is! — Kaido and Big Mom

On the island of God Valley, 38 years ago, the Rocks Pirates interrupted the Native Hunting Games to get back something that was taken from them, and it eventually resulted in their destruction as their captain, Rocks D. Xebec, finally died, taken down by Roger and Garp. The rest of the crew scattered and went their own ways. Years later, they grew in power and ended up making crews of their own, and some most certainly did make it big, such as Kaido and Big Mom.

In the Wano Country Arc of One Piece, it was Kaido and Big Mom who joined hands to claim the One Piece, and to form a massive pirate nation in Wano as the new hub of piracy. They set their eyes on the Ancient Weapons, and with all their might, they lay claim to the One Piece itself. This alliance was unfathomable and the World Government did not know how to respond. Garp dubbed the alliance the Return of Rocks, and it most certainly did prove to be quite a headache for the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as all their allies. In the end, however, they failed, as the alliance was successfully broken by Luffy and his crew, and at the same time, their leader were both defeated, thanks to the Worst Generation.

How Buggy and Blackbeard Will Truly Bring Back Rocks

Buggy And Blackbeard Will Form An Alliance

While Big Mom and Kaido couldn’t bring Rocks back, there are two characters in One Piece who most likely will, and they’re Blackbeard and Buggy. We have previously spoken about Blackbeard and Buggy’s alliance, which most likely will happen in the Final Saga of One Piece, but a rundown will most certainly be given here. For one, Blackbeard and Buggy have the same goal right now, which is basically to establish a mighty stronghold, but they both want to do it in a different way.

If Shanks is going for it, then I will too! Let’s go for it, the One Piece! — Buggy

When it comes to the Cross Guild, they’ve been attacking the Navy strategically, and they are doing so on purpose, since they want the attention of the Navy. They have also placed bounties on all the Marines, which goes to show that they’re incredibly aggressive in their approach and that they want to oppose the Government, no matter what. Their biggest enemy right now is the Navy, and they most certainly cannot be ignored for long.

‘He Will Get Conqueror’s Haki Next’: One Piece Fans Are Certain Sanji Is Getting A Major Power-Up

Sanji is going to have a major power up very soon in One Piece. Fans are almost certain of that.

As for the Blackbeard Pirates, their goal is somewhat similar. They intend to establish a country that’s officially recognized by everyone in the world too. To that end, they captured Koby and now have Garp in their hands, who they intend to use as a trading chip. Of course, the Navy will never listen to their demands and they can’t ignore Garp either. The only option here is to go to war. If both the Cross Guild and the Blackbeard Pirates are facing a war from the Navy, the best thing to do would be to join their forces and face this existential threat together, which is where the alliance comes in. All this will be to execute Garp after the World Government will most likely reject the trading deal and declare war instead.

Now comes the main question, which is how Blackbeard and Buggy will bring Rocks back. To be clear, both Blackbeard and Buggy are connected to Rocks. Blackbeard and Rocks have some connection that clearly hasn’t been revealed by Oda yet. But, there are too many clues in the story. For one, Blackbeard currently rules over Pirate Island, which was once the territory of Rocks D. Xebec. He wants to be the King of the World, which is the same goal as Rocks, and finally, his own ship is called the Saber of Xebec. These are too many similarities to simply be a coincidence.

Rocks D. Xebec Laughing

As for Buggy, fans know that he is the same age as Shanks and that they were raised together on the ship of the Roger Pirates. Just like Shanks, Buggy could very well be connected to the God Valley Incident. In fact, many clues in One Piece point to the fact that Buggy’s real identity is still hidden by Oda, and if our theory is to be believed, Buggy could very well be the son of Rocks D. Xebec, who was left behind on God Valley 38 years ago, and likely found by the Marines, just as Shanks was found by the Roger Pirates. Buggy could then have been turned over to the Roger Pirates by Garp to ensure his survival, just as Roger ensured Ace to Garo to make sure he lives. Buggy, the son of Rocks, and Blackbeard, the man who looks up to Rocks, will truly bring the terror of Rocks back at Pirate Island, once they form an alliance there and face the Navy in a war reminiscent of Marineford.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1143, is set to be March 23, 2025.
