Spider-Man is arguably one of the most popular and recognizable characters in comics of any generation. We have seen many iterations of the character over the years in comics, and we have seen quite a few of those characters make their way into movies, television, and video games.
It’s no surprise that everyone’s favorite webslinging hero was part of the Marvel Rivals roster when it was officially released. There are already a couple of characters and skins from Spider-Man’s storylines, like Venom, Peni Parker, and Chasm in the game. Here are some other characters from The Spider-Verse we’d love to see added to the game.

Spider-Woman
Jessica Drew debuted in Marvel Spotlight #32 in 1977 and gave us both her first appearance and origin as Spider-Woman. Since her introduction to the comics, and Spider-Verse movie, she has made waves and garnered a fanbase.
This character has some similar powers that we know from Peter Parker, like superhuman strength and agility, and wallcrawling. But she also has a couple of others that stand out, like gliding and venom blasts where she can channel and shoot bio-electricity from her hands, which would be incredibly fun to see in the game.

Spider-Man Noir
Many fans got their first introduction of Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and, thanks to Nicolas Cage’s performance, made him a standout character. This version of Peter Parker is from Earth-90214, where he fights crime in 1930s New York.
The costume for this Spider-Man also stands out and is what makes this character so interesting. Having similar abilities to Peter Parker, this version also uses a revolver and a Tommy gun when he gets into fights with criminals, which would make for some diverse gameplay as Spider-Man.

Spider-Ham
Another Spider-Man character that captured the hearts of many from the Into the Spider-Verse movie is Spider-Ham. This cartoon version known as Peter Porker made his first official appearance in Marvel Tails Starring Peter Porker The Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 in 1983.

What truly makes Spider-Ham standout from other versions of Peter Parker isn’t just the comedic aspect, but the lightheartedness and charm that character has portrayed over the years, and that was showcased in the movie. Who wouldn’t want to see Spider-Ham going ham in Marvel Rivals?
7
Spider-Girl
There are a few characters who take on the alias of Spider-Girl, but it is Anya Corozon’s Spider-Girl that would be great to see in the game. Making her debut in 2004’s Amazing Fantasy #1, we quickly came to love Spider-Girl.
Some of the unique abilities and powers that make her stand apart is the fact she can camouflage herself in the shadows and become invisible. She also has a Spider Society tattoo that allows her to summon a blue spider-like exoskeleton, with her also having the ability to adjust the thickness of its carapace on the fly.
6
Spider-Punk
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse gave us a look at countless variations of the many Spider-individuals that protect their realities and one of the biggest characters that had the most punk rock introduction was Spider-Punk.
Hobie Brown stands against and fights the corrupted and fascist leaders of Earth-138, such as US President Norman Osborn, Kingpin, and Kraven to name a few villains. His unique punk rock style with a denim vest and spikes on his mask resembling a mohawk and usually wielding a guitar is what makes him standout.
5
Silk
Cindy Moon first appeared in a cameo appearance in 2014’s Amazing Spider-Man #1. She gets her powers from the same spider that bites Peter Parker, before being trained inside a bunker by learning from footage of Spider-Man.

Silk is another character in the Spider-Man universe. Let’s take a look at her origins and backstory.
After being rescued by Peter, she calls herself Silk. The most interesting part of her abilities is the fact that webs come out of her fingertips, rather than her wrists. She is able to make the webs into clothes, and she can manipulate it into claw-like extrusions, weblines, and barbed hooks. Her web abilities would be very exciting to see in Marvel Rivals.
4
Scarlet Spider
Ben Reilly is a clone of Peter Parker who made his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #149 and later became the Scarlet Spider in Web of Spider-Man #118. Being a clone doesn’t mean he’s exactly like Peter, and he has evolved into a very complex character over the years.
Some of his abilities include superhuman strength and agility, but some of the ones that stand out are his quick regeneration, extrasensory Spider-Sense, which warns him of potential immediate danger, acting like an enhanced Spider-Sense, and wallcrawling with electrostatic force.
We already have a version of Ben Reilly in the game as the Chasm skin for Spidey, but it would be great to get his first alias in the game.
3
Spider-Man 2099
There were quite a few lead-ups to the debut and first appearance of Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Man 2099, with previews in various comics, but it’s the classic and iconic Spider-Man 2099 run from 1992 that made this character so beloved, as well as his portrayal in Across the Spider-Verse.
Not only is his costume amazing, but he has some of the most intriguing abilities of any Spider-Man character. These include superhuman speed, telepathy, telescopic and night vision, an extremely accurate sense of touch, enhanced hearing, razor-sharp talons, and fangs that can paralyze. He would make for a tough opponent in Marvel Rivals.
2
Spider-Gwen
Gwen Stacy has been one of the most well-known characters and love interests of Spider-Man, but it’s this Earth-65 version that has elevated the character to new heights. She takes up the mantle of Spider-Woman, later becoming Spider-Gwen and Ghost-Spider, after being bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter.

There are some fascinating abilities that set her apart from others, like mimicking others’ clothes and camouflaging herself, producing electricity like Miles, and even having the ability to control spider-like creatures using them as scouts. It’s only a matter of time before Gwen makes her debut in Marvel Rivals with how popular she is.
1
Miles Morales
The fact that Miles Morales isn’t in Marvel Rivals yet is baffling; however, the moment he debuts, you can bet the fanbase is going to go into a frenzy. Miles is arguably one of the most well-known and popular Spider-men to date.
The Spider-Verse movies have showcased just how complex yet relatable a character Miles is, and if that doesn’t convince you, then checking out his comics might. Not only can he camouflage himself, but he also has an enhanced Spider-Sense, allowing him to use it like a radar, and can generate electricity to use for a multitude of purposes. Plus, it would be absolutely amazing to see his black and red suit in the game.
