Selangor Red Giants is a Malaysia-based football team that competes in the country’s Super League. Through its esports division, the organization competes in MLBB.
Last year, SRG had a near-perfect season, winning both editions of the MPL Malaysia along with the MLBB Mid-Season Cup. This marked the first time a Malaysian team won a major international tournament.
SRG also came close to winning the M6 but were eliminated in the semifinals for a third-place finish. Now, as the organization looks to build its legacy in 2025 even further, partnering with a global brand like OG Esports could be a big move in driving fans to the brand.
The SRG.OG roster consists of the following players:
- Yums – Roamer (Malaysia) (Captain)
- Kramm – EXP Lane (Philippines)
- Gojes – EXP Lane (Malaysia)
- Sekys – Jungler (Malaysia)
- Stormie – Mid Lane (Malaysia)
- Innocent – Gold Lane (Philippines)
The team will next be seen in action at the MPL Malaysia Season 15. The schedule for the league hasn’t been announced yet. The MPL ID and PH have kicked off, though.
OG Esports undergoes major changes in 2025
This announcement comes as OG has made several big ones so far in 2025. Earlier, the esports organization promoted CCO, Daniel Sanders to the role of CEO while a new COO was appointed in Silja Sundstein.
MLBB is now the second mobile esports title the organization is entering into. A few weeks ago, it announced that it had become a partnered team in the Honor of Kings Major West League (KMW).
Now, its entering into a new market and game by partnering with a winning esports roster. This is definitely a win-win for both organizations.
These major changes come as OG Esports was one of the few organizations who weren’t selected into the Esports World Cup Foundation’s 2025 Club Partner Program after being a part last year.
