During her adult life, the machinations of Kingpin and Mentallo made it seem like Teresa’s belief that she was Richard and Mary Parker’s daughter was the result of Mentallo’s manipulations. However, the Stranger Things actress seemingly shot down the idea that her appearance in the movie will officially introduce the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That leaves the door open for a total switcheroo like Teresa Parker. And, the fan theory, first floated on social media by the Reddit user, lifesyndrom, could also mean the introduction of another character into Peter Parker’s life that has been floated as joining Spider-Man 4 quite a bit lately as well.
In fact, the rumors that Kingpin will jump from Daredevil: Born Again to the next Spider-Man flick have been coming so fast and so furiously, that some accounts have even tried to claim Vincent D’onofrio was confirmed to be a part of the project. However, he had to come out and shoot that talk down, taking to social media and saying that if he was confirmed for the film.
This same theory posits that should Sadie Sink being playing Teresa Parker and that means that Kingpin is in the movie too, then the storyline that the film will be based on will be Family Business. That would certainly mean that Spider-Man 4 will be far more “street level” while also jettisoning Zendaya’s MJ and Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds as the buzz has claimed.
It would certainly be easier for the Stranger Things actress to step into the shoes of a more well-known MCU character. But if this next installment in the Tom Holland series is going to do what some believes they want Marvel to do, Sadie Sink playing Teresa Parker in Spider-Man 4 makes far too much sense.
