Summary
- Pokemon has launched a Paw Pod plush collection dedicated to Pawmi.
- Among the four new Pawmi plushes is a Pokedex-size Pawmi that’s the same size as the Pokemon is in the games.
- Pawmo and Pawmot also have two plushes each in the collection.
Pokemon has decided it wants to celebrate Pawmi and its evolved forms by surprise dropping a whole new line of plushes dedicated to the Electric-type’s evolutionary line out of the blue. No fewer than eight plushes, one of which is technically a part of Pokemon’s growing life-size plush collection that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Pawmi has been awarded the lead role in what Pokemon has dubbed its Paw Pod collection with four of the eight new plushes dedicated to the first step in the three-stage evolutionary line. There’s a regular Pawmi plush, a sleeping Pawmi, and a recharging Pawmi. For those unaware, Pawmi can recharge its electricity by rubbing its cheeks, hence the pose the new plush it’s striking.

Pokemon has kicked off a new line of plushes with five of its best dog-inspired ‘mons.
However, the best of the four Pawmi plushes is the life-size one, although Pokemon appears to be calling those “Pokedex-size” now, which actually makes a lot of sense. Some of Pokemon’s previous life size Pokemon, created to replicate exactly how they appear in the game, have tended to be pretty expensive. The Gardevoir plush, for example, is five feet tall and costs $450.
Pokemon’s Paw Pod Collection Includes Pawmi, Pawmi, And Pawmot
But Best Of All, The Pokedex-Size Version Of Pawmi
Pawmi’s Pokdex-Size plush is a lot more affordable, sporting a $59.99 price tag. The far cheaper price compared to Gardevoir and other life-size plushes is down to its in-game size as opposed to The Pokemon Company slashing its pricing structure out of the kindness of its heart. Pawmi is only 14 inches long in the Pokemon games, so its plush is the same size and doesn’t need to cost nearly as much as a five-foot Gardevoir.
The other half of the Paw Pod collection is dedicate to Pawmo, and then the fully evolved form of Pawmi, Pawmot. Each has a regular Paw Pod plush and a sleeping variant. Pokemon has released a lot of sleeping plushes and they tend to be pretty popular. The Sleeping Cubone it revealed in 2023 was a big hit, the single tear embroidered into the corner of its closed eye breaking the hearts of Pokemon fans worldwide as they frantically reached for their wallets.
The best news about the Paw Pod collection is that it’s available now. Not just in Japan, but everywhere which isn’t always the case for new Pokemon plushes. Clearly, Pokemon has confidence in the power of its Pokedex-size Pawmi. The same can’t be said of the new additions to Pokemon’s Sweet Support range which is currently still exclusively available in Japan.
