How To Start In Vino Veritas Quest

Casper Rudolf can be found north of the fountain in Kuttenberg City. Talk to him to trigger In Vino Veritas. He will ask you to get some information out of Havel, but as it isn’t going to be easy, you can get Casper’s book from Adleta.

The requirement to trigger this quest is to complete the Speak of the Devil main mission. However, you can even initiate it after completing the game’s main story.

How To Get Casper’s Book From Adleta

Adleta will be marked on the map, so head over there and talk to her. You can either go through the main gate or climb the guard tower. Going through the main gate may be difficult, though, as you must pass one of the two skill checks.

It is better to climb the tower west of the main gate. Go straight along the wall and then head down the other tower. This way, you will be in the garden, so now talk to Adleta.

Adleta is very flirty, but you can’t romance her. Some dialogue may lead you to believe that she is romanceable, but even after passing a skill check, you won’t be able to romance her.

That said, passing the skill check will get you the book.

You will have to give Adleta something if you don’t pass the skill check presented to you when speaking to her. As she sits near a garden, pick up five Marigold

and give them to her; the book will be yours. After you have received the book, read it.

How To Make An Impression On Havel

Head toward the coordinates marked on your map and talk to Havel. Upon talking to him, you will get a lot of drinking skill checks, but those aren’t important. If you don’t have high points in the skill, then choose the simple dialogue option.

The important thing is whether you get the answers right. Choose ‘Germany’, ‘Steinberger’, and ‘It’s missing ginger’. After that, go back to Casper and tell him what you found out.

You can also give him back his book, but that isn’t necessary, so you can keep it. Exhaust all dialogue options, and more objectives will appear.

You can pass a persuasion skill check with Casper after giving him the details of your investigation to get more money for your next task.

How To Find The Monastery’s Secret

Casper would suggest that you get hired at the vineyard. Do so, and you will easily be able to get the secret. The recruiter will be marked on the map if you exhausted all dialogue options with Casper. Talk to him and then speak with Jerome (this will also start a task, Under the Straw Hat).

After you have talked to Jerome, you can freely enter the central building. Of course, you can’t go inside the wine cellar where the secret is kept. For that, you will have to be sneaky. When no one is around, go into the kitchen; at the left end, there will be a door.

If you don’t want to get recruited, you can achieve these objectives by being completely sneaky. However, this will be difficult as you won’t be welcome in the central building, and if you go there, it will be considered trespassing.

The door will have a medium lockpick difficulty, which won’t be a problem, so open it and go inside. Make sure to close the door. Just ahead on the right side, there will be a chest containing the secret item, Sulfer wicks. Steal it and go outside.

If you are having a difficult time lockpicking the medium-difficulty lock, then drink a quickfinger potion. You can buy it from the apothecary east of where Casper is standing.

Now, there is another optional objective, and we recommend doing it. Go outside the kitchen and open the door on your left. There, you can find the wine seedlings that Casper asked you to get. Take five of those and go back to Casper.

You can also get inside the garden by lockpicking the gate on the right after entering the place. However, it is a very hard difficulty lockpick, so it is better to go inside from the central building.

Talk to him, and the quest will be finished. You will get 630 Groschen in total and a Life in the Tavern IV book.

If you don’t bring Casper five wine seedlings, you will not receive the additional 425 Groschen; otherwise, you will only receive 205 Groschen.
