The Fortnite Dune skins have not been in the Item Shop for over 1,000 days. The Paul Atreides and Chani skins were last seen in the Item Shop on June 20, 2022. Despite ample opportunities for a return, these skins have seemingly been lost in the Arrakis desert all this time. However, those who’ve been anxiously waiting for their return to the game can take solace in the fact that a recent leak suggests that they’re on the way back.

Fortnite Dune Bundle Should Be Back Soon
HYPEX, a prominent leaker in the Fortnite community, revealed that the next few Item Shops would probably have the Dune skins available. There have since been two rotations, and though they haven’t returned yet, they still can. The latest cycle didn’t bring them into the shop. Instead, the new Shohei Ohtani skin arrived.
Based on the leak, these skins can still return soon, although it’s unclear why Epic Games is choosing now of all times. They had the perfect chance to bring them back and make a ton of money when the sequel to the first film came out almost exactly one year ago. It was a beloved blockbuster and had tons of Oscar nominations. It was wildly popular, and it would’ve led to a lot of skin purchases. The Fortnite crossover has been highly requested to be returned to the Item Shop.
However, Epic ignored that chance. Additionally, there was a prequel show that came out on Max last fall. Epic again ignored that chance to capitalize on the relevancy. The cosmetics haven’t been back, though that seems poised to change. If they stay absent, there is a third film in development that, in a few years, could again be a chance to rerelease them unless Epic Games wants to keep Paul and Chani in the vault permanently.
The bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks, and the individual skins are 1,500 alone. Each skin has a backbling in the bundle, and there is also a loading screen. Separately, there is an emote and a glider for the characters to use. So, if you’re interested, save up your V-Bucks.
