Fortnite’s premier series is getting a new member, with a Clix Fortnite Icon skin coming soon! The big announcement was made today, after a bit of build up from Clix. The streamer has been promoting the day, along with sending out t-shirts featuring today’s date to other content creators. So, this announcement might not be the biggest surprise but it’s great to see another streamer honored in the Icon Series.
The Fortnite Icon Series is one of the game’s most exciting developments. A way to include real life people with skins in Fortnite. The recipients vary, with sportsters and musicians getting the nod. The most exciting might be when Fortnite pros and streamers get skins though, which is what we’re getting with the Clix Icon Series. It’s always interesting to see what designs get dreamed up for streamers, and the Clix one is definitely something.
Clix Icon Skin Announced
You can separate Icon Skins of streamers into roughly two categories. There are the skins that take elements of a streamers brand and make something up that fit that, like Sypher PK’s demon themed skin. Then there’s Icon Skins which just depict the person, like Bugha’s skin. Clix definitely leans more towards a literal depiction. The Clix Icon series is a recognizable sight to those tuning into streamers.

We’re getting two styles. The first, a locked in pyjamas look. The other, a suit. Both are recognizably Clix though. There’s other cosmetics coming alongside it to fill out your locker too.
Players will have a chance to unlock the item early in the Clix Cup. We’ve seen similar tournaments for most Icon releases, a Cash Cup style event with the early skin release coming as the prize.
Clix in Fortnite has had some real growth over the last year. While he’s become a particularly popular Fortnite streamer, he’s rededicated himself to esports lately. Managing to take home third place in open of the most competitive FNCS events we’ve ever seen. This icon skin is arriving just in time as he’s a real contender to take the crown next time.
