Pokemon Fan Carves Scream Tail Figure Out of Wood

A Pokemon fan artist took up their carving tools and crafted a figurine of Scream Tail from a chunk of wood that was subsequently painted. The Pokemon woodcarver shared pictures of their Scream Tail figure on social media, and other trainers complimented them for their continued handiwork.

As one of the Paradox Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Scream Tail is considered an ancient variant of Jigglypuff. Scream Tail is a Fairy and Psychic dual-type Pokemon known for its high speed and defense stats. Scream Tail’s eponymous tail is located atop its head, and its eyes are colored yellow. Scream Tail attacks its foes by using sound-based attacks like Boomburst and Psychic Noise. It also grows more powerful once its Protosynthesis ability is activated by either using Sunny Day or the Booster Energy held item. Scream Tail is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet and can be found throughout Area Zero.

Although Scream Tail is a powerful Gen 9 Fairy-type, one Pokemon trainer carved an endearing wooden tribute to the pink Paradox critter. On the r/Pokemon subreddit, a Reddit user named sebebop shared a wooden figurine of Scream Tail they carved and painted. The Scream Tail wooden figure was placed on a wooden board for scale, with a brick wall serving as a background. The creator shared different angles of their Scream Tail carving, each one turning the Paradox Pokemon in a cardinal direction.

The Scream Tail figure looked posed for a Pokemon battle, as its open mouth was painted on the front. The creator used red, yellow, and pink paint for most of Scream Tail’s body, with white and black paint used as outlines for the Paradox Pokemon’s eyes and ears. Scream Tail’s signature tail was carved into the top of its head and remained close to the main body before curling at the end. Additional tufts were carved into its tail and painted a darker shade of pink compared to the main body.

Scream Tail is the latest addition to sebebop’s wooden Pokemon collection. They previously crafted two Torkoal figures, with one of them being a unique variant. Pokemon trainers complimented sebebop for their continued effort, with some remarking how Scream Tail’s open mouth made it look cuter than normal. The OP stated they are open to commissions for future projects.

Given the popularity of Paradox Pokemon like Scream Tail, it is little surprise that Pokemon fans have used homemade crafts to express their support. With Pokemon Legends: Z-A in development, only time will tell what fans will create next.
