PC gamers have the chance to get two free games right now, but they are running out of time to do so. PC gamers get free games on a regular basis, and most of the time, they don’t even need to be signed up for any subscription services. While the “free” games on consoles are typically tied to things like PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass, PC gamers get free games without any strings attached.

Part of the reason why PC gamers get free games so often is because of the various digital storefronts that exist on the platform. The Epic Games Store gives away a new free game or two every Thursday, while various publishers give away free games on Steam as a way to promote their newer titles. Currently, PC gamers have two free games they can claim, one from the Epic Games Store and one from Steam. The current Epic Games Store free game is Mortal Shell, a 2020 Soulslike that earned somewhat mixed reviews but has built a fanbase of its own. Steam users, meanwhile, can claim Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning for free. The catch is that these freebies are only available for a limited time and are set to expire soon. Mortal Shell will only be free until Thursday, March 20, while Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning is only free until March 18.

Free PC Games Right Now

Mortal Shell isn’t the only freebie Epic Games Store users can claim right now. The Anniversary Party Favor Pack for World of Warships is free in the same timeframe. This pack nets players a bunch of free content for World of Warships, including a Yubari Japanese Tier 4 Cruiser, 1 Port Slot, 1 Japanese Commander with three skillpoints, 444,444 credits, 44,444 Elite Commander XP, 4 Epic Permanent Camouflages, 4 Common Bonuses Containers, and 4 More Signals Containers.

On March 20, Mortal Shell and the World of Warships Anniversary Party Favor Pack will be released by Jurassic World Evolution 2 on the Epic Games Store free games lineup, with that freebie available from March 20 to March 27. Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse isn’t getting replaced by anything when its free giveaway expires on March 18, but Steam users should keep an eye out for more free games on the platform in the weeks ahead.
