The new Fortnite map is full of secrets, especially in the new Chapter 6 Season 2 biome. There’s a couple of hidden areas in the map, including the Outlaw Oasis Vault in Fortnite. It’s a room which has a random chance of spawning. However, once you know how to get in, it’s one of the quickest ways to get guaranteed rare chests!
The new biome is by far the best on the map right now. like previous seasons that cluster up POIs to one specific area, it’s made it a bit weighted towards the new area. There are spots with Vaults to crack, secrets, a Black Market location, and Outlaw Oasis. Which appears to be the one standard POI there. However, it is hiding a secret if you know where to look. This is how to get into the Outlaw Oasis Vault and how it works:
How to Get Into the Outlaw Oasis Vault
The Outlaw Oasis Vault isn’t one of the safe rooms you’ll need to crack. Like those in Crime City or the train. It’s a hidden room where you need to interact with the outside world to get inside. There’s no fight against NPCs or anything like that though.
To get inside Outlaw Oasis, head there at the start of the game. Then follow these steps:
- Go to the largest building
- Look for the statues on three plinths

- They’ll be pointed in different directions
- Go up to them, and try to arrange all of them to face directly forward

- Use the interact button to turn them
- Once all three all aligned, destroy the floor in front of it.
- A secret panel will open upon the ground

- Head inside, and you can find the hidden vault (in some games)
The Outlaw Oasis Vault isn’t something that’s there every game. Players will sometimes find the vault. Other times they’ll find a mocking picture of the season’s villain! There is a way to check before you bother with the entire process though. Go up to the area above the underground room. If you’ve got the vault in your game, you’ll be able to see the chest on visual sound effects. So you can tell if it’s worth going for or not.

That’s how you can crack the Outlaw Oasis Vault, but what exactly is waiting inside? If you’ve got the vault in your game, you’ll find multiple rare chests, a proper chest, ammo boxes, and gold. It isn’t quite as much loot as you’ll get with the bigger vaults. However, it’s definitely better than just searching out random loot across the map. Odds are, you’ll collect some of the best Fortnite weapons. Between this and the Shafts vault, every POI in this biome has something impressive in it.
