There are three Expressions of Many that you will need to defeat in order to complete the Rites of the Deep questline in Destiny 2: Heresy. These are Taken Knights (classified as Boss enemies) scattered across the Cosmodrome. Once defeated, you will obtain the Willbreaker Shard: Realms, which is needed to progress the questline.
These bosses are accompanied by numerous Taken enemies, including Thralls, Minotaurs, and Captains. We recommend Roaming Supers, perks like Chain Reaction, Voltshot, Destabilizing Rounds, etc. to clear them out quickly.
How To Defeat Expressions Of Many?
The Expressions of Many are encountered as part of an optional quest called Shattered Shards: An Entity Manifested, which you can pick from the Shaping Slab in The Last City. All of them are marked on the map, making them easy to find. You will encounter them at Dock 13, Lunar Complex, and Gateway.
Similar to Vorok, these Taken Knights do not have much HP. Supers like Needlestorm, Thundercrash, Nova Bomb, Golden Gun should easily one-shot them. They also take additional Precision Damage, making weapons like Sniper Rifles, Machine Guns, LFRs, etc. incredibly effective. Remember, you can also debuff them to deal extra damage.
We recommend clearing the adds before engaging the Taken Knights to avoid being overwhelmed. These enemies are also melee–focused, so they cannot hit you if you position yourself on an elevated platform.
Each of these Taken Knights has a massive Taken Blight nearby. There is no need to destroy it, as it automatically disappears once the nearby Expression of Many is defeated.
Mirmo, The Envious
You will find Mirmo, The Envious inside the Lunar Complex. Starting from Skywatch, head toward the entrance to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. Continue through the abandoned blue building until you reach a room with a Shrieker. This is where you will find Mirmo, The Envious.
Mirmo, The Jealous
Turn around from The Steppes (Landing Zone) and continue through the area until you reach a large room with Mirmo, The Jealous.
Mirmo, The Covetous
Finally, you will find Mirmo, The Covetous at the Gateway – located in the bottom–left corner of the map. This is the area with a cluster of rusty cars where you first spawn during the New Light campaign.
After defeating all three Taken Knights, return to the Shaping Slab in Eris’ Apartment in The Last City to collect the Willbreaker Shard: Realms – it is needed to complete the Rites of the Deep questline. Other than that, you will get some Sigil Shards, Essence of Desire, and Seasonal Gear.
