Atelier is one of the most popular and longstanding JRPG series out there. Starting in 1997, each game has you playing as a titular atelier who focuses on alchemy, collecting rare items and roaming the world in the hope of crafting better tools. Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is no different, and if you’ve been hankering for another adventure recently, a new demo has just dropped ahead of the game’s imminent release.
You are Yumia, and it’s up to you and your companions to explore the world in search of new alchemy ingredients. The JRPG has you collecting a wide variety of items, testing your mettle in real-time combat, and synergizing whatever you find to come out on top. If that sounds good to you, then you can give Atelier Yumia a try right now.
If you’re one for intricate and engaging battle systems, Atelier Yumia has you covered. You’ve got two types of attack ranges to choose from in real-time combat, which you can switch between on the fly to change how your skills work. You can also follow an array of recipes to synthesize items to take into battle, which will transform into weapons like spears and swords to help you get the upper hand.

But synthesis doesn’t just help you in fights, because you can create exploration tools to help you move forward. There’s even a survival game-style building feature, where you can construct bases and decorate them exactly as you see fit.
Keep in mind that you’ll have access to Atelier Yumia’s prologue up to the main quest ‘Pioneering the Ligneus Region,’ alongside the open field of the same locale. You can even gather ingredients and build your own base, with all progress saved in the demo carrying over the full game.
As of my writing, the Atelier Yumia demo has already peaked at just over 6,000 concurrents on Steam, showing that the imminent launch could very well be another 2025 surprise.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land’s demo is available now, with the full launch scheduled for Friday March 21. Just head here.
