  • DIGIMON, or Digital Monsters, is a popular Japanese franchise featuring digital creatures in a virtual world.
  • A new DIGIMON Card Game project is coming soon, possibly following a format similar to Pokémon TCG Pocket.
  • DIGIMON CON 2025, a celebration of all things Digimon, will be held on March 19, unveiling more about the upcoming project.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has teased a new DIGIMON Card Game upcoming project, possibily similar to Pokémon TCG Pocket, sparking excitement and speculations among fans. While there isn’t much information yet, more details will be revealed at the upcoming DIGIMON CON on March 19, 2025.

We can expect the upcoming DIGIMON Card Game project to follow a similar approach to Pokémon TCG Pocket

If you are unfamiliar with DIGIMON or Digital Monsters, which is pretty unlikely, it is a popular Japanese media franchise centred around a series of digital creatures living in a virtual world. The franchise spans anime, manga, toys, video games, and more. In 2020, Bandai Namco launched a new DIGIMON Card Game, expanding to the TCG scene.

Recently, the official DIGIMON Card Game team has shared a teaser video on X (formerly known as Twitter) hinting at an upcoming mobile project. Given the massive success of Pokémon TCG Pocket, which has already surpassed 100M downloads since launch, $200 million in revenue in its debut month, and more, it’s highly likely Digimon is aiming to make a similar impact on the mobile market.

At this stage, not enough details about the new project are available, but you won’t have to wait long. The good news is more information will be revealed at DIGIMON CON 2025, scheduled for March 19, 2025, which is just around the corner. As a longtime fan of the series, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us.
