Zenless Zone Zero Leak Shows New Boss

A new leak from Zenless Zone Zero is hinting at a familiar-looking new boss set to come to the game as part of the Version 1.7 update. The HoYoverse urban action RPG has introduced a wide variety of unique enemies to the game since its initial launch, with many featuring major connections to the game’s story. New Eridu has seen multiple new “Expert Challenge” and “Notorious Hunt” bosses introduced throughout the game’s frequent updates, including several bosses with major implications for Zenless Zone Zero‘s story. Now, leaks are showing another new enemy coming in Version 1.7.

While HoYoverse has not revealed much about Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.7, the first details about the patch have started to emerge since Version 1.6’s launch. HoYoverse confirmed two new characters that will be joining the roster with Version 1.7, featuring both Hugo Vlad and Vivian as playable units. Both characters initially appeared in-game as NPCs during the “Grand Marcel Adventure” event during Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.5 update, with Hugo also appearing briefly in Lycaon’s Agent Story. A new leak is now showcasing a new boss coming alongside Hugo and Vivian.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Teases New Boss

A recent leak shared to the Zenless Zone Zero leaks subreddit shows off a new enemy coming with Version 1.7. The image shows the in-game model for an imposing Ethereal enemy with spiked claws and a hulking body structure, expected to be a new boss. The boss is also said to be a new variant of the “Corrupted Bandit: Ruthless Fiend” Elite enemy, already featured within Zenless Zone Zero. The leak does not confirm whether the new Ruthless Fiend will be introduced as an “Expert Challenge” or “Notorious Hunt” enemy within Zenless Zone Zero.

Zenless Zone Zero‘s newest enemy will join a plethora of new bosses introduced to the game throughout its recent updates. The RPG’s most recent update introduced a new enemy to the “Expert Challenge” game mode, adding in the “Lumberjack” mecha which players can challenge for leveling materials for Soldier 0 Anby and Trigger. HoYoverse also introduced Zenless Zone Zero‘s newest “Notorious Hunt” challenge not long before, with the debut of “Sacrifice – Bringer” as the climactic final boss of Version 1.4’s story. Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.7 is expected to launch on April 23.

The release of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.7 is expected to bring plenty more to the game beyond its new characters and enemies. Recent leaks have teased the return of a popular event from Version 1.5, with the “Grand Marcel Adventure” said to be coming back for another run. Leaks have also hinted at a pair of new Bangboos coming with Version 1.7, alongside re-runs for a pair of popular characters in Jane Doe and Lighter. Zenless Zone Zero continues to provide its fans with a wealth of new content with each passing update.
