What Was The Best Spider-Man Game Before Insomniac Took Over?
There were dozens of Spider-Man games before Insomniac became the Spider-Man studio, but which ones were the best?
Here’s How They Did It
According to the creator, all credit goes to GuitarthVader, who managed to not only recreate the 2007 version of Venom and Spider-Man, but went and painstakingly created a version of Miles Morales that wouldn’t feel out of place.
As you can see in the above video, Venom has that signature wraparound logo, complete with the linework and sinister-as-all-heck smile. Of course, Peter himself has the tight silver linework on his costume that was a signature of the Raimi movies.
As for Miles, the suit also retains that classic linework, but with enough “home-made” type flair to make him standout against Peter. His Spider-Man logo has a noticeable ring of spray paint around it, and the costume as a whole makes use of his two-tone design.
The end result is exactly what you see above: the world of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 crossing into Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. For fans of a certain age group, it’s everything you love about the 2000s made more modern. Now, if we could only get a remaster of the movie tie-in game.
