Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s Maze of the Master is another set in the Maze line of boxes. Like Maze of Memories and Maze of Millennia, this set focuses on anime cards while also giving you what you need to make a deck based on a Duel Monsters character. This time, the focus is on Odion, who appears during the Battle City arc as Marik’s right-hand man.

The Man With The Mark
Odion Arrives To The TCG
This card is literally Odion from the anime, but as a monster. This is one of your starters if you want to play the Temple of the Kings archetype. Just get it on the field to get your Temple of the Kings or any other card that mentions it to your hand or graveyard.
It also protects your other Apophis monsters from being destroyed by battle or card effects. It even protects your Temple of the Kings Field Spell. It does a lot to get your game plan going, but it also makes sure they can stay on the field longer.

Treasures Of The Kings
Setting Up Traps For Your Opponent
Treasures of the Kings is a retrain of the original Temple of the Kings. It lets you set an Apophis Trap straight from your deck while also letting you search out other goodies as long as you have other set cards or a Trap in the graveyard.

Burn cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! deal direct damage to players, but which are the best in the game?
Your next search lets you search for any monster that mentions Temple of the Kings. This is essential if you eventually want to have your entire back row filled with Traps that can negate your opponents’ plays and get reused over and over again.

Tachyon Transmigration
Stop And Bounce Everything In A Chain
This card is excellent for a Galaxy-Eyes deck, and it gets a reprint in Maze of the Master. This is a counter trap that negates everything in the same chain. It also shuffles all the negated cards back into the deck, which can remove bodies from the field and even allow you to recycle hand traps that got negated.
This can come incredibly useful when you and your opponent go back and forth, chaining effects on each other. If you control a Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon monster, you can even activate this from the hand.
7
XYZ-Hyper Dragon Cannon
Combine Your Arsenal
While not one of the ultimate meta cards, XYZ-Hyper Dragon Cannon is worth mentioning because it is a retrain of the original XYZ-Dragon Cannon. This time, it includes a few upgrades that make it more usable.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Every Duel Monsters Era Structure Deck, Ranked
One of these was likely your very first Yu-Gi-Oh! deck, but which of the original structure decks was the best?
It can be summoned using the material listed from the field or the graveyard. The destruction ability is also now a Quick Effect, allowing you to potentially interrupt your opponent during their turn. If it dies, you can also banish it to get your Fusion Material back on the field and ready to fuse once more.

Mulcharmy Purulia
A Much Needed Reprint
Maze of the Master brings the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG a step closer towards being affordable competitive-wise. With a lower-rarity reprinting of Mulcharmy Purulia, it becomes easier to get your hands on one of the three Mulcharmy hand traps.
This one lets you draw a card whenever your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster from the hand. This card also comes as a collector’s rare if you’re interested in getting alternate rarities. This is a fantastic card to get a reprint and one you should keep an eye out for if you want to build a better deck.
5
Seventh Tachyon
A Generic Searcher If You Know The Combos
Cards that can search through your deck for something that you need are usually fenced into their own archetype. On rare occasions, a generic searcher appears that goes wild. Seventh Tachyon is that card in Maze of the Master.

All you need to get it to work is a Number XYZ Monster in your extra deck that has a number between 101 and 107 in the name. Then just match Attributes or Types with the Rank to see what you can search out.

Divine Golden Shadow Dragon Dragluxion
Ease Into Your Dragon XYZ Summons
You can slap two level eight monsters together to make Divine Golden Shadow Dragon Dragluxion. On Summon, it lets you search the deck for a Galaxy or Tachyon card. You can also detach two material from it to cheese out another rank eight Dragon XYZ Monster with 3000 attack.
This XYZ Monster gives you plenty of material to work with since it uses itself for the XYZ Summon. It also lets you directly attach another Galaxy Monster from the extra deck to the new monster.
3
Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Primal
Free Bodies On The Board
Galaxy-Eyes is one of the coolest archetypes in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. They are also constantly getting support in sets that allow them to go into other monsters easily. Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Primal is a level eight body that can hit either side of the field.
This card can come out for free if there is a Dragon XYZ Monster on the field. Then, just for Summoning it, you get to search out a Tachyon Spell or Trap from the deck. This is a fantastic way to get your hands on Seventh Tachyon, another great card from Maze of the Master.
2
Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon
An Old Favorite Returns
Another Galaxy-Eyes card to keep an eye out for is Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. This may be a reprint, but Maze of the Master gives it a special artwork. This card can negate the effects of all your opponent’s monsters when it attacks.
This effect also resets any buffs they might have in terms of attack and defense. It can also buff itself whenever one of your opponent’s card effects manages to resolve. With a second attack, this can put your opponent in a world of hurt if they activate too many unnecessary effects.
1
Schwarzschild Infinity Dragon
A Free Rank Eight
Being able to Special Summon directly from the deck is a privilege reserved for the very best decks. Schwarzschild Infinity Dragon is a level eight that can seek out another level eight for some fast XYZ Summons.
The material has to be a Light or Dark Dragon, but being able to Special Summon this card easily makes it worth it. The only downside is that you get locked into only Special Summoning XYZ Dragon monsters for the rest of the turn. If your deck is built around it though, this is something you can easily work around.
