If you’re still trying to figure out how things work in Palworld, Tanzee
will be a great starter Pal for you while you’re still figuring out how the Technology menu works, and how to unlock recipes for items and structures using the Technology points you earn from leveling up. The first plantation you’ll acquire will be for growing berries, and to plant berry seeds, you’ll need a Pal that’s near the starting area and is easy to catch with a regular Pal Sphere.
Enter Tanzee, a loveable little monkey that will plant your crops with a smile on its face. Additionally, it can help with other tasks around your base, like crafting items at the crafting bench, chopping wood, transporting, and harvesting and, once you’re finally able to craft a gun for him, he’ll be a valuable ally to have in your party.

is one of the few Pals in Palworld who has a single focus trait skill for Planting. This adorable little fella can be found in many of the low-level forest areas and is very simple to catch.
The best time to put Gumoss to work is when you’ve started upgrading your base and can have more Pals working doing other tasks. Drop Gumoss in to oversee all the Planting duties, and you’ll always have some berries to eat!

Soon you’ll start exploring the islands more, and when you do, you’ll find Bristla
over by the Ancient Ritual Site in the center of the Moonless Shore. As long as you’ve been leveling up and increasing your catch rate, capturing a few Bristla shouldn’t be a problem.
While Bristla is a powerful friend to have on your team, you can also put it to work in your base as an additional Planter, if you need one. And with a level two Medicine Production skill, you’ll finally have a Pal to help you craft medicine.

Farming (1) |
is a charming, goat-like Pal that brings a level two Planting skill to your base. If you want to get your hands on this pal, you can find her in various locations, such as south of the Astral Mountains and Ice Wind Island, among others.
While she isn’t as versatile as other Pals due to her only having level one Farming, you’ll likely assign her to planting and keep her there until you acquire higher-level Pals for the task.
If assigned to a Ranch, Caprity can produce Red Berries for you.

Once you’ve begun to outgrow Leafmunk and the other early Planters, it’s time to start looking for one with a higher Planting skill. Head over to the Mossanda Forest on the Verdant Brook, where you should find several Mossanda
to capture; keep in mind that you will need at least some Mega Sphere
s in your arsenal.

Mossanda is also a great source of Leather

Our last mid-level Planter is Verdash
. This handsome fella can only be found in two places: The Sealed Realm of the Swift, and the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary.
Even so, it can be a valuable addition to your base. Verdash does a great job at switching between available tasks and hardly slacks off. If you need a Pal skilled at Handiwork and Transporting in addition to Planting, this is the Pal for you.

Prunelia is a new pal added with the Feybreak update, and she is among the best level-three Planters to have at your base. She can be found in a few different spots in the north of Feybreak.
Prunelia is quite versatile when it comes to working at your base, especially if you plan to use her for both planting and Medicine Production and Gathering, as she excels at both. Additionally, her prayers bless the crops, increasing their harvest.

As you continue to upgrade your base and unlock more plantations, you’re going to eventually need Pals with a higher Planting skill level, and one such Pal is Broncherry
. With a level three Planting skill, and no other traits, this gorgeous Pal will be able to plant all of your seeds for you, so you and your Pals never starve.

You can find Broncherry anywhere in the Bamboo Groves, or you can try your luck with the Alpha Pal over by the Sea Breeze Archipelago.
Broncherry is also a rideable Pal, but the best asset it brings to your Party is the additional carrying capacity. You’ll be able to pick up and carry more weight with this friend on your team.

Handiwork (2), Medicine Production (2), Transporting (2), Gathering (2) |
is another great level-three Planter to have at your base. This Pal plants seeds in your plantations with graceful twirls, like it’s dancing with the crops. You can either catch the Alpha Boss in the Sealed Realm of Spirits, located in the center of the Moonless Shore, or the No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary.
When not planting, you’ll find this Pal helping with Gathering, Handiwork, and a few other tasks around the base, so it can serve multiple roles at once to help you as you build your home in Palpagos Island.

Handiwork (3), Medicine Production (3), Gathering (2) |
And finally, the best Pal for Planting in the late game is Lyleen
with a level-four Planting ability. Lyleen is the signature Pal of Lily, the founder of the Free Pal Alliance, and one of the tower bosses in Palworld. You can capture Lyleen by fighting them, or by going to the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary to find other Lyleen.
Just like Petallia, Lyleen brings grace and beauty to its base tasks. While Planting will be prioritized above others, Lyleen can also help with Handiwork and Medicine Production.

Palworld has been described as Pokemon with guns and well, it’s hard to argue with that. The game is very similar in nature to the Pokemon formula, tasking you with catching and working with monsters called Pals. There are key differences, though. Palworld is rooted in multiplayer, oh, and, unlike Pokemon, its Pals have guns.
