The Best Characters In Dragon Ball Daima

Dragon Ball Daima continues the long-running franchise’s tradition of showcasing extraordinary, ground-shattering battles, ridiculous storylines that may not have much logic behind them but somehow just work, and a sense of adventure that is rarely found anywhere else. However, that adventure would not be as memorable as it turned out to be if the series was missing a key Akira Toriyama staple: vibrant characters.

Dragon Ball contains some of the greatest fights in anime history.

Fortunately, regardless of whether they are new or returning, Daima has plenty of characters who add much more life to the series with their distinct personalities, and naturally, some of them stand out as the most unforgettable in the anime’s 20-episode run.

Panzy

Voiced By Fairouz Ai / Veronica Laux

Panzy in Dragon Ball Daima.

There is a lot that can go wrong with a character like Panzy, who could have just served as a trope for comedic situations, been a knockoff version of Goku’s granddaughter Pan from Dragon Ball GT, or been a complete brat given her princess nature. However, Daima choosing to give Panzy more screen time than many of the Dragon Ball veterans somehow worked in its favor, as there are plenty of instances where she stands out as someone you would not mind having along on an adventure.

From calling Goku out multiple times for not necessarily being the most hygienic person in the universe to contributing toward the team’s goals by genuinely caring about the Demon Realm and the people who reside there, Panzy carries on her father, King Kadan’s legacy in the most wholesome way.

7

Glorio

Voiced By Koki Uchiyama / Aaron Dismuke

Glorio in Dragon Ball Daima.

While many characters throughout the history of Dragon Ball have been on the extreme ends of the good and evil spectrum, Glorio serves as a breath of fresh air as a much-needed character with a gray moral compass. Although he initially starts off as a spy for Arinsu, he quickly becomes accustomed to just how pure Goku and the gang truly are, gradually changing his mindset about everything that is going on around them.

Being responsible for one of the best action sequences early in the anime to having his ultimate moment to shine in the final act, Glorio is the perfect outsider perspective and contrast to the Z Fighters, making him question his strength in the process.

6

Dr. Arinsu

Voiced By Yoko Hikasa / Morgan Garrett

Arinsu in Dragon Ball Daima.

One of the glaring flaws that Dragon Ball Daima seems to have is the lack of a menacing villain who can steal any scene they are a part of, and unfortunately, the big bad Gomah mostly disappoints as he keeps screaming and can’t seem to get anything done until the very end. That is where Dr. Arinsu makes her entrance, a secondary antagonist who outshines the primary in almost every way, keeping a composed persona and making sure she takes action herself to achieve her goals.

What does the scouter say about this Saiyan’s power level? We have all the details about Dragon Ball Z’s strongest warrior.

She also gives life to two of the other best characters featured in Daima, Majin Kuu and Majin Duu, creating just the right balance between humorous situations that are actually funny and getting the job done, despite it not always going her way.

5

Majin Kuu

Voiced By Tomokazu Seki

Majin Kuu in Dragon Ball Daima.

When Majin Kuu is first created by Arinsu, it feels like he has just been added to Dragon Ball Daima as an easy character to serve as comedic relief, considering that he instantly loses the battle that he was made for against Tamagami Number One. However, as the series progresses, Kuu starts to grow on you, showcasing high levels of intelligence and proving that you do not have to be the most physically gifted to tackle intense scenarios.

This is why him becoming the new Supreme Demon King at the end of the anime does not really feel too out of place and simply just works, despite the twist seemingly coming out of nowhere.

4

Majin Duu

Voiced By Fukushi Ochiai

Majin Duu in Dragon Ball Daima.

The worries that may have initially surrounded a character like Majin Kuu only got worse when his second counterpart, Majin Duu, was created, coming off as even goofier than his elder brother with only one personality trait: liking chocolate. Thankfully, he quickly becomes a much better character when he starts fighting the Tamagami, after which every action sequence featuring him is a standout moment in the anime.

However, the greatest Duu moment comes when he teams up with the rest of the Z fighters against Gomah during the final encounter, as the ensemble is epic and is responsible for one of the most memorable sequences in Dragon Ball Daima.

3

Hybis

Voiced By Reimi / Kristin Sutton

Hybis in Dragon Ball Daima.

Comedy can be a hit or miss in the Dragon Ball universe ever since the first anime started airing, as it is often difficult to find the perfect balance between being a little too juvenile and funny. However, Hybis comes in and breaks the mold by easily being the funniest character in Dragon Ball Daima, delivering his deadpan humor in a way that makes him a scene-stealer every time he is on the screen.

2

Son Goku

Voiced By Masako Nozawa / Stephanie Nadolny / Sean Schemmel

Goku in Dragon Ball Daima.

The protagonist of the long-running Dragon Ball story being one of the best characters in Daima may not necessarily be a surprise, but Son Goku ensures that the anime stays action-packed and legendary every time he gears up for a fight. From showing off his various transformations in both his mini and adult forms to becoming stronger after each battle, Goku keeps cementing his place as one of the most iconic anime characters ever created.

Almost every battle in Dragon Ball Daima features Goku at the forefront, and you know if nothing else, Kakarot is most definitely going to deliver on the visual spectacle front, which he constantly does against various foes throughout the anime.

1

Vegeta

Voiced By Yudai Mino / Ryō Horikawa / Paul Castro Jr. / Christopher Sabat

Vegeta in Dragon Ball Daima.

If there is one character in the Dragon Ball universe who has had arguably some of the greatest development in anime, it is Vegeta, as he went from being a purely evil Saiyan to a loving husband who would stop fighting just because his wife threatens to cancel their bath time together. But that does not mean that the Saiyan prince does not have some extraordinary battles up his sleeves, as when Goku is not at the center of the action in Daima, it is Vegeta who decides to step in and take control of the situation.

All of that makes Vegeta an impressively balanced character who not only delivers on the action front but is also responsible for some of the most hilarious moments in the anime, making him the definite highlight in Dragon Ball Daima.
