Mecha BREAK, the upcoming multiplayer mech combat sim is closing its Global Storm Open Beta today (March 16). The current beta, which started on Feb. 23, will end today, as per information given to Esports.net by Mecha BREAK developer, Amazing Seasun Games.

In a recent interview with Amazing Seasun Games CEO and Mecha BREAK Executive Producer, Kris Kwok, Esports.net confirmed that the Global Storm Beta was in fact the final beta for Mecha BREAK, and the next time players would be able to get their hands on the title would be on the games full release.

Mecha BREAK’s Open Beta Ends On March 16

After three weeks of intense mech battles, the Mecha BREAK Global Storm open beta will shut its doors. The beta culminated in the Mecha BREAK Pre-Launch Invitational, a 16-team international tournament hosted by Amazing Seasun Games on their Campus in Zhuhai, China.

After four days of intense competition Japanese team Anubyss took home the trophy, crowning themselves as the best Mecha BREAK players in the world. However, for fans of Mecha BREAK, the victory celebrations will be short-lived, as the end of the tournament coincides with the end of the Open Beta period, something that had not previously been widely publicised.

On March 12, a Facebook post on the official Mecha BREAK page said the following:

“The Mecha BREAK Open Beta Test will be ending on March 16, 2025, at 8:59 AM PT and account data will be cleared. We thank you for your participation and for the overwhelming amount of praise that our game has already received.”

At the time of writing the demo page on Steam was still active, but downloading the game may not provide access.

The next step in Mecha BREAK’s development is a vigorous round of testing, including testing for Steam Deck compatibility, and will conclude with Mecha BREAK’s release later this year.
