Hello Kitty Island Adventure: 8 Beginner Tips
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is quite a cozy game, but you’ll still benefit quite a lot from these early tips and tricks.
Here, we are going to go over everything you need to know about visitors in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This includes how to start the process of having visitors, as well as all visitor options in the game. Visitors will also have small quests for you to complete, so we will go over these as well.
Updated March 15, 2025 by Jacqueline Zalace: Hello Kitty Island Adventure receives frequent updates, so it only makes sense that new visitors have been added since last publication! We’ve also added a bit more information on inviting island visitors to permanently stay on your island.
How To Unlock Visitors
Initially, your island will not receive any visitors. This will unlock after you complete the quest Friends and Family. This quest itself also has a few requirements, which you can find below.
- Complete Building Bridges (quest)
- Complete Make Yourself At Home (quest) and then wait one day
When both of these steps have been completed, you can begin Friends and Family. This is essentially a tutorial quest that teaches you how to repair and decorate new cabins for potential visitors. Through this quest, you’ll be preparing a quest for Dear Daniel who, for some reason, wants some pie on the ground.
After completing the tasks that My Melody gives you, you’ll be able to receive island visitors and repair other cabins spread across the maps.
All Island Visitors In Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Now, let’s go over all the potential visitors that you can have in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This will include their name, daily gift, liked tags, when they visit, their friends on the island, and any extra requirements. We’ll go over what each of these categories means later.
Before these characters visit, you’ll need to befriend their friend (on the island). For example, in order for Mimmy to come, you’ll need to be friends with Hello Kitty.
What Is A Daily Gift?
The first time you talk to a visitor (for the day), they will give you their daily gift. You don’t have to complete any request or task in order to receive this; just talk to the visitor to get your free item!
Where Can Guests Stay?
There are cabins spread throughout the map, with each area holding cabins that appear to certain visitors. After restoring the cabin, you’ll be able to prepare it for a certain set of visitors, which you can find below.
Any visitors not on this table can be placed in any cabin.
Where To View All Potential Visitors
You won’t have to rely on your memory to see who is coming. From the menu of the game, you can click on ‘Visitors’ to see all the potential visitors that can come to your island. This will only show the visitors that you have unlocked, even if they are not currently traveling.
The circle with a line through it means that the guest isn’t currently flying, while the circle that looks like a timer means the they are mid-travel; if you prepared an appropirate cabin, they will come. You can see the exact date that their travel ends so you don’t miss out.
Lastly, the airplane icon means that they are about to travel. For example, when clicking on Pompompurin’s Mama, it’s noted for us that she will travel in one day. Be sure to use this in order to plan and prepare cabins for your guests!
Visitor Cabin Requirements
Each visitor has a set of requirements that you’ll need to follow in order to successfully get them to stay in the cabin. Thankfully, this information is readily available from the ‘Visitors’ screen. Any visitor that has a location requirement will have this displayed here as well.
Let’s take a look at Berry as an example. On our page for Berry, we see that they are next traveling in the Fall, even though they are currently unlocked. In terms of cabin requirements, Berry needs the following.
- 5x Spooky Items
- 3x Joke Items
- 2x Sweet Items
Some guests, like Pompompurin’s parents, are a bit more difficult to satisfy. Pompompurin’s Papa likes to be in a cabin near Pompompurin on Gemstone Mountain, and needs all the following items.
- 3x Pieces of Antique Furniture
- 1x Magma Pudding
- 1x Pumpkin Pudding
- 1x Purple Pudding
Visitor Quests
In addition to taking in the sights, visitor’s will have daily quests. These are typically very easy to complete. Continuing with Pompompurin’s Papa, he will have quests that involve taking selfies in different locations, cooking Milk Bread, and catching a Rockadoodler.
When visitors are on your island, be sure to check out the daily quests that are active. Overall, they are easy to complete, and doing so boosts your star rating with the visitor.
How To Make a Visitor Into A Permanent Resident
Once a visitor becomes permanent, they won’t just linger around their cabin. You may find them exploring other areas in the game.
Each visitor has their own star rating, which you can check out from the visitor list. Each time you complete a daily quest for a visitor, the start rating will increase; you’re only able to do one quest during each visit, so this start-rating boost will happen just once per visit.
After raising the star rating to five, the visitor will ask to stay on your island forever! At this point, you don’t have to worry about completing daily quests or checking when they may visit. If you happen to have a lot of visitors, you may not get a daily quest from each one. Overall, just check the daily quest section of your quest log to see if there is any to complete.
Visitors who become permanent residents don’t have any cabin requirements. If you want to, you can just strip the furniture from their room and redecorate it how you see fit. This is especially helpful if the visitor has weird requirements, like a bunch of clothing on mannequins. It’s worth noting that permanent visitors will still give daily gifts.
Newly permanent residents can also have their cabin swapped, even if it’s in an area that they don’t typically like. For example, Pompompurin’s Mama wants to be in Gemstone Mountain, but once she becomes a permanent fixture, you can just put her somewhere else.
