Summary
- Mullet MadJack is an arcade FPS game where players must kill to stay alive.
- The game features various unique weapons with distinct playstyles and upgrades that enhance their lethality.
- Each weapon in the game, from the Handgun to the Railgun, offers different benefits and challenges for players to master.
Mullet MadJack takes the concept of overstimulation and turns it into a video game. Players assume control of the titular protagonist as he wades through robo-billionaires to save an internet star. Everything the player sees is streamed to a live audience that is hooked up to Jack’s blood stream, injecting his body with dopamine every time he kills something. If he doesn’t, his 10 seconds of life ticks down, killing him at zero.

Built around arcade FPS gameplay, Jack makes use of an arsenal of weapons in his pursuit of constant stimulation. Each comes with their own unique play style and line of upgrades that only make them even more deadly. For those looking for big dopamine hits, here are the best weapons in Mullet MadJack.

Handgun
Dumb But Useful
- The Handgun is a secret weapon rewarded to players after they complete the game.
- It is a parody of the Pistol.
HAMMER95 have taken a page of Dead Space‘s book with the Handgun. The weapon, unlocked after beating the game, is quite literally just a hand gun. While likely only included as a neat spoof reward for players, the weapon does come with a kick. Dealing a bit more damage than the Pistol, the Handgun can be viably used to complete a Mullet MadJack player’s run.
Its long-to mid-range capabilities make it quite versatile, too, but like other accuracy-based weapons in Mullet MadJack, lining up a shot can slow players down, losing them precious time.

SMG
High Fire Rate And High Recoil
- Power: 3
- Accuracy: 5
- Speed: 10
The SMG’s high fire rate makes it one of Mullet MadJack‘s most satisfying weapons to use, allowing players to quickly spray and pray through rooms. Despite the speed at which a player can dispatch an enemy with it, the SMG does come with a couple of downsides.
Its high rate of fire means players will be reloading more often, something that is more crucial here than other shooters because of the time mechanics at play. It also comes with a lot of recoil. Players looking to use the SMG should make sure that they’re grabbing upgrades that affect reload times whenever they show up at the end of a level.
6
Rifle
The All-Rounder
- Power: 7
- Accuracy: 6
- Speed: 3
The Rifle acts as Mullet MadJack‘s all-rounder weapon. The gun dishes out decent damage and controls relatively well. However, it is let down somewhat by a fire rate that feels slow when compared to other weapons like the SMG or the Plasma Gun.

8 FPS Games With The Best Upgrade Systems
As First-Person Shooters have borrowed more and more from RPGs, they have developed some excellent genre-specific upgrade systems.
The weapon’s upgrades alleviate this somewhat by increasing its rate of fire with a mini-gun attachment and, at its third level, a grenade launcher that will shoot periodically while players blast through a level.
The Rifle is unlocked after ‘unboxing’ the game from the main menu.
5
Shotgun
Forget All About Aiming
- Power: 10
- Speed: 3
- Range: 4
The Shotgun‘s lever-action handling may take a little bit to get used to, as players have to wait for Jack to cock the weapon between each shot. In a game where every second counts, this weapon may seem a little redundant at first.
However, the Shotgun completely removes the need for a player to aim. As long as they’re pointing in the general direction of an enemy, a player is likely to kill something. Once players get used to the lever-action shooting, they’ll be able to wipe out floors with ease.
4
Pistol
Infinite Ammo
- Power: 3
- Accuracy: 10
- Speed: 5
Being the game’s starting weapon, the Pistol would have ranked lower among the best weapons in Mullet MadJack if it weren’t for its level three upgrade. Without it, the gun functions how players would expect: dealing a fair amount of damage with fire rate dependent on the player’s clicks.

The 8 Best Starting Weapons In Video Games
Plenty of games give players mediocre starting equipment at best, but these titles offer starting weapons that players will carry through to the end.
The upgrade, however, adds an infinite bullet belt to the gun. This ridiculous addition removes the need to reload, allowing the player to be as trigger-happy as they like. There being no need to stop and reload means that players can also afford to be less accurate, saving them time by not having to properly line up shots.
3
Railgun
High Damage
- Power: 10
- Accuracy: 10
- Speed: 3
On the surface, the Railgun seems like the antithesis of Mullet MadJack‘s core gameplay experience. The gun fires a concentrated beam of energy that requires a cooldown between each shot, feeling slower than the lever action handling of the Shotgun.
Yet the Railgun makes up for this with its extremely high amount of damage, being capable of one-shotting most enemies in the game. Players looking to use the Railgun will have to spend some time getting used to its slower fire-rate, but it’s worth it for the damage output.
2
Plasma Gun
Assault Rifle 2.0
- Power: 3
- Accuracy: 5
- Speed: 10
The Plasma Gun is a juiced-up version of the Rifle, acting as a sort of combination of it and the SMG. The Plasma Gun sacrifices some of the accuracy of its counterpart in exchange for a higher rate of fire.
This change makes the Plasma Gun feel like the ultimate robo-shredder, dispatching enemies with ease at most distances. Similarly to the Pistol’s third upgrade, players can unlock an infinite ammo version of the weapon, creating the potential for one to make it through a level with a simple click.
1
Katanas
Hack And Slash
- Power: 7
- Speed: 10
- Range: 1
The Katana is definitely the most skill-based weapon in Mullet MadJack. It cripples the player’s ranged capabilities, forcing them to cross rooms even faster to get up close and personal with enemies. Despite that, the weapon is still one of the most satisfying and rewarding to use in the game.
It comes in two variants: the Ice Katana that freezes enemies and the Fire Katana that allows players to make charged fire attacks. On top of these variations, the Katana acts like Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir; it can be thrown at enemies before returning to the player. This ability can be upgraded to reduce the time in which it takes the Katana to fly back to the player, making up for its lack of range. With the Katana’s attacks being capable of one-shotting – or one-slashing – enemies, it’s worth putting in the time to get used to the weapon’s unique play style.
