While Arma Reforger’s release wasn’t perfect, Bohemia Interactive is clearly aiming for perfection, as well as realism. Since its launch in 2022, the game has seen great improvements, and with the release of a PS5 version, it has attracted even more players and continued to grow on PC, some days even surpassing its predecessor, Arma 3, in the Steam charts.

Armafield
Thanks to modders, you can now not only transform Arma Reforger into a different era, but also a different popular game series. Armafield brings the popular Conquest game mode from Battlefield to Arma. While it is still new and in active testing, the mod is great for those familiar with military/war games but new to the MilSim genre.
The mod also includes a progression system similar to Battlefield, where you will unlock weapons with XP. You can play from the Scenarios menu, but it is recommended to search the community servers and join an active one.

HMAS Adelaide
One element that always feels missing in Arma games is naval combat and assets. It’s understandable, since the focus of the game is on land, air, and infantry combat. However, this mod is perfect for players itching for sea action.
Based on the real Australian ship of the same name, the HMAS Adelaide Landing Helicopter Dock is ideal for players seeking naval or piloting experiences, as you can take off in a helicopter from the ship. The exterior of the ship closely resembles the real one, and the interior captures the essence of the naval infantry setting.

Team ELAN – Arma Life
If you’ve played an Arma title before, it’s very likely that you’ve seen or played on one of the Role-Playing Servers. In Arma 3, they remain one of the most active server types in the game.
Arma Life brings a large RPG experience to the MilSim, including crafting, skill system, stores, dynamic market, farming and job professions. You can choose between living a civilian life, joining a security faction, or becoming a criminal.

The mod includes a scenario and there are active servers. It also requires a couple of assets and miscellaneous mods for the full experience. You can find these in the Dependencies tab of the mod in the Arma Reforger workshop menu.

Stryker
This mod offers a balance of power between the two main factions. Since the Soviet faction has a BTR-70, it provides a great advantage to the US Army faction, as they don’t have an armored vehicle in the vanilla version of the game. What’s great about the Stryker is that it can be used to transport infantry units and serve as an offensive tool.
The models and textures of the vehicles look incredible as well, making it feel as though it was created officially for the game. The smoke and periscopes add to the vehicle’s dynamics, making it even more fun to use.

Kunar Province – Afghanistan
Inspired by the province in the northeast of Afghanistan, the Kunar Province mod introduces a new location to the game. It is the perfect map for players looking to create modern scenarios in Game Master or other modes. Currently, the map is heavily used on many community servers, including those with the PvP mode Conflict.
It is an essential download if you plan to join servers in a modern warfare setting. With its hills and villages, this modded map provides an excellent blueprint for dynamic firefights and combat.

Night Vision System
At a certain point in Arma Reforger, you may find yourself in the middle of the woods at night with nothing but a flashlight to find your way out. However, that flashlight will give away your position if there are enemies nearby. This Night Vision System mod will keep you hidden while allowing you to see your surroundings.
It is an essential tool when creating night tactical missions in the Game Master mode. When enabled, it can be found in the arsenal, and it is available to all factions.

One of the most shocking moments for most new players in Arma Reforger is not seeing their position on the map. Thanks to every FPS shooter, we are accustomed to seeing our location on a minimap. Since realism is one of the main elements in MilSims, you will need to learn land navigation in Arma Reforger.
But worry not, Where Am I is a simple yet effective mod that will mark your location on the map and help you find your way in the sandbox while you learn to read a map. This mod will also be applied to most game modes and scenarios when enabled.

Red Hammer Studios is a group of modders that have been developing content for the Arma franchise for years. So, it’s no surprise that their mods are some of the most used in modded community servers right now. This mod transforms the game from a Cold War era to a modern one.
RHS – Status Quo uses weapons, vehicles, and uniforms from the early 2000s to the present, with a focus on 2017, and the US and Russian forces being the main factions. When this mod is enabled, you can find showcase missions in the Scenarios menu and try all the available content in the mod.
