Xbox Game Pass is losing two Yakuza games and five more titles later today, March 15. While these are the first games to leave the subscription service in March 2025, they won’t be the last, as another batch of Xbox Game Pass departures is expected at the tail end of the month.
Microsoft typically removes games from the XGP catalog every two weeks. It most recently did so on February 28, when Xbox Game Pass lost nine titles, including Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and PAW Patrol World.

Back at the end of February 2025, the “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox Cloud Gaming app also listed MLB The Show 24 as leaving Xbox Game Pass on March 15. However, the game’s mention has since been removed from the app’s list of departures, suggesting that the baseball sim will remain part of Microsoft’s content catalog for a while yet.
Achievement hunters who haven’t yet started any of these soon-to-be-departing games have little hope of finishing any single one of them before they leave Xbox Game Pass. Heart Machine’s 2022 platformer Solar Ash is the shortest of the lot, but a completionist run through it is still estimated to take upwards of nine hours. As per usual, the March 15 departures are expected to be pulled from the Xbox Game Pass catalog around midnight, local time.
What’s Next for Xbox Game Pass?
Another batch of titles is expected to leave Microsoft’s subscription service at the end of March 2025. These departures should be officially announced alongside the second wave of this month’s Xbox Game Pass releases. Microsoft’s track record suggests that the upcoming Wave 2 lineup announcement will materialize on Tuesday, March 18. That’s also the date when 33 Immortals is scheduled to debut on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The upcoming multiplayer roguelike is the newest title from Thunder Lotus Games, the developer behind the critically acclaimed management sim Spiritfarer. The Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 lineup for March 2025 already has one confirmed game in the form of Atomfall, a post-apocalyptic action adventure that’s scheduled to arrive on March 27.
