However, where other characters bring medieval weapons to the table, Clorinde manifests the power of modernity and chooses to wield a gun.

She hits fast and she hits lots, however only under certain circumstances. Her best teams are unlike other top tiers, and she doesn’t rely on big nukes to deal her damage. She also makes use of the Bond of Life debuff, using it as a resource for her attacks. Clorinde Can Heal Herself

She Doesn’t Need A Dedicated Healer

When you’re building a team in Genshin Impact, DPS isn’t the only thing you have to keep in mind. Your character can only deal damage if they live long enough to do so, after all. As such, unless you’re fully confident in your skills to dodge every incoming attack, having some form of defensive utility in the form of a shielder or healer can help any team.

However, putting a defensive unit means losing out on a buffer or sub DPS, which in turn means losing out on a portion of your DPS. Fortunately, Clorinde

doesn’t have to suffer from the same fate, having built-in self-healing that lets her survive and stay healthy even without losing a precious party slot to a healer.

Clorinde Uses Bond Of Life As A Resource

She Can Perform Enhanced Attacks With BoL

Fontaine introduced characters that have the ability to change their health percentages, but it also introduced a mechanic made directly to counter it in the form of Bond of Life. This BoL gives you anti-healing that only goes away once the amount of it is healed.

For Clorinde specifically, her Elemental Skill sends her in a special stance. Within its duration, Clorinde can use her Normal Attacks to fire gunshots that grant her Bond of Life. Then, when she has BoL equal to 100 percent or more of her HP, you can tap her Elemental Skill to perform an enhanced attack. Managing this Bond of Life is integral to playing Clorinde well.

Clorinde Doesn’t Need Bennett

Bennett

is one of Genshin Impact’s strongest characters, despite being a four-star. His absurd buffs and decent healing make him one of the most in-demand characters for the best Genshin Impact teams. Since every new character needs Bennett to function well, having a hypercarry that isn’t reliant on him can do wonders for your account.

Clorinde is one such character, instead preferring sub DPS teammates like Fischl

Clorinde Fits Niche Team Archetypes

She Brings Back Aggravate And Overload

Certain Genshin Impact team archetypes are always more in-demand than others. Melt and Vaporize teams form the majority of Genshin’s strongest compositions, with most great hypercarries being slotted into one of these teams. However, Clorinde is one of the strongest characters in teams that aren’t otherwise as popular.

Clorinde’s best teams include Aggravate and Overload teams. Her fast-hitting attacks and Electro application fit the needs of such teams, things that cannot apply to many other characters. To a lesser extent, Clorinde is also the closest we have to an Electro-Charged or Taser hypercarry, increasing her versatility as a DPS even more.

Clorinde Hits Extremely Fast

She’s Faster Than Anyone Else!

Clorinde’s combination of rapier thrusts and pistol shots make her the fastest-hitting character in Genshin Impact. This makes her splendid in teams that value fast hits above larger, harder-hitting attacks. The prime example of this are Aggravate teams, letting Clorinde proc more Aggravate triggers than anyone else.

This also makes her a great teammate for characters that want you hitting lots. For example, Clorinde synergizes extremely well with Fischl, even more if you have Fischl’s sixth constellation due to Fischl performing coordinated attacks each time you use a Normal Attack or trigger a reaction, both of which Clorinde can do consistently.

Clorinde Is Keqing, But Better

No Stamina Issues, More Damage, And Added Healing

Keqing is one of Genshin Impact’s oldest characters, being a standard Electro DPS from Liyue. She wasn’t the strongest in the past, but the addition of Aggravate and Spread with Sumeru’s release took her from a largely unplayable character to a fairly decent DPS that can compete with many great teams.

Clorinde can be thought of as a non-standard version of Keqing, having the same playstyle of fast Elemental Skill and Attack combos alongside a fast-hitting Burst where she slashes enemies. However, Clorinde improves on parts where Keqing lacked, having no stamina issues, built-in healing, and just overall greater damage potential!

. However, Clorinde differs in that aspect.

Clorinde’s best teams consist of Overloaded, Aggravate, and Electro-Charged Teams. In all three team archetypes, Fischl, a four-star unit, is a better teammate for her than any five-star option. Similarly, in each of the aforementioned teams, the strongest characters end up being four-star ones. She can still benefit from premier units like Mavuika on her team, but her most synergistic teams function fine without them.
