A recent leak from the upcoming Pokemon Legends Z-A is revealing a new Mega Evolution coming for a classic Pokemon, with Victreebel reportedly receiving a Mega form. The highly-anticipated follow-up to Pokemon Legends: Arceus gave fans plenty to be excited about last month with its first major trailer. The video revealed the trio of starter Pokemon players will be able to choose from, alongside teasing several other creatures that players will be able to find throughout the game’s version of Lumiose City. Now, one particular Pokemon is set to receiving a major boost within the game.
The Pokemon Company and Game Freak have already shown off a wide array of Pokemon set to be featured in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The Pokemon Company has shown several Pokemon who will receive Mega Evolutions within the game, including fan-favorites like Lucario, Charizard, and Gardevoir among others. Pokemon Legends: Z-A will also feature several Kalos staples as part of its selection of creatures, with the trailer teasing Pokemon like the Fletchling, Skiddo, and Honedge evolutionary lines. Pokemon Legends Z-A Leak Teases New Mega Evolution
A new leak shared by prominent leaker CentroLeaks is teasing a new Mega Evolution coming in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. According to the post, citing a previous teaser from fellow leaker Khu, Victreebel will be the newest Pokemon to receive a Mega Evolution following the release of Legends: Z-A. While being a staple of the franchise since its inception, appearing prominently in the Pokemon anime, Victreebel did not receive a Mega form during the franchise’s 3DS era. Victreebel can also briefly be seen within the recent Legends: Z-A reveal trailer, shown in the party of one of the player characters.
The introduction of Mega Victreebel to Pokemon Legends: Z-A sets a major precedent for the game’s roster of Pokemon. Victreebel could serve as the first new Mega Pokemon not featured in one of Pokemon‘s previous Mega Evolution games, suggesting that more new Megas may follow after.
