Vaults are a great way to find high-rarity loot and gold bars in Fortnite Battle Royale – here’s how to get inside.
With a Community Quest featuring in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, players are going to have to fight Fletcher Kane’s gold reserves if they want to get Outlaw Keycards and access the Black Market backrooms for some one-of-a-kind Exotic weaponry.
How to Get the Outlaw Keycard in Fortnite
In order to obtain the first Outlaw Keycard, which is the Common Outlaw Keycard, players must have completed a match in Battle Royale. Sometimes, the quests to the actual Keycards do not show, so simply hop into a match of Battle Royale and either win, get eliminated, or leave. Doing so will trigger the quests, where players will have the Common Outlaw Keycard in their inventory and they can begin the next stage of quests.
The Common Outlaw Keycard was unlocked by the Fortnite Community after being given a global goal: rob vaults and cases alongside the Fortnite Community. This goal has since been completed, but some players might load into the game and discover that the quest is still on the same step. All players need to do is actually load in-game to a round of Battle Royale, regardless of whether that’s Zero Build or Build Mode, so long as it’s in an actual match of the Chapter 6 map. With that done, there are now there are more quests for players to individually complete so that they can upgrade the Common Outlaw Keycard into a Legendary Outlaw Keycard, without the community to back them.
How to Complete All Outlaw Keycard Quests in Fortnite
Once players have access to their Common Outlaw Keycard, they will be able to check the Quests tab from the lobby or the in-game menu and select the Outlaw Keycard quests, where they will see a bundle of new objectives to complete. There are a total of 4 quests for the Outlaw Keycard, with each of them having 5 stages. These are relatively simple to complete, and each of them has been listed below:
Quest |
Stages |
How to Complete |
Rob Vaults (0/3) |
Stages 1-5 |
There are 4 locations where players can rob Vaults:
To rob a Vault, players will need a Thermite, usually found in Heist Bags that are hidden at the back of the vault’s building. Simply throw a Thermite at the Vault to start a Heist, and then fight off guards and shoot the glowing red weak points of the Vault to speed up progress. Players need to rob a total of 15 Vaults. |
Eliminate bosses or guards (0/25) |
Stages 1-5 |
For this quest, players need to eliminate the NPC enemies found around the map known as Alpha Guards. These enemies are stationed in the same locations as the vaults, and they will continue to respawn during a Vault Heist here:
Alpha Guards also spawn at the Armored Truck Heists and the Train Heist, so stir up trouble on the island by completing Heists to eliminate these guards. Players need to eliminate 125 guards in total. |
Spend Bars (0/1,500) |
Stages 1-5 |
Players need to spend 1,500 Gold Bars per stage of this quest, meaning they will need to spend a total of 7,500 Gold Bars. The easiest way to spend Gold Bars is by purchasing everything in the Black Market, and the easiest way to obtain Gold Bars is by robbing Bank Vaults found in these locations:
|
Collect Boons or Medallions (0/2) |
Stages 1-5 |
This quest is the easiest to complete, as once players acquire any of the two Medallions from either Fletcher Kane or Shogun X, they can drop the Medallion and pick it back up to finish all stages simply by re-acquiring it a total of 10 times. Alternatively, players can deliver Sprites to Shrines for a chance to get a Boon or spend Dill Bits at Black Markets for Boons. |
What Does the Outlaw Keycard Do?
The Outlaw Keycard allows players to access the Black Market backrooms where they can purchase Exotic weapons for Dill Bits, unlock Outlaw Chests for free Dill Bits and loot, and also interact with other NPCs and hire them.
