After completing the required steps, you can head to Kunafa village in the center of the Plains and speak to Murtabak. He’ll mention two tempered monsters destabilizing the region and ask for your assistance.

Of the two targets, we recommend going for the tempered Rathian first. Its movements are more erratic, and its attacks generally hit harder, so taking the time to deal with it while you have that time is preferable. The Quematrice is a lesser threat and shouldn’t take nearly as much time or effort to overcome.

Rathians are weak to Dragon element, and the Quematrice is weak to Water, so use them for the best possible damage output.

You’ll also want a healthy collection of Flashbugs to keep Rathian on the ground. It likes to spend time in the air where it’s much harder to hit, and Flashbugs can bring it down.
