Summary
- Cheesing the Master of Masters achievement in KCD2 is possible by hitting the “Surrender” button during the polearm fight.
- Using the Surrender method glitch allows players to land hits on Zavish without surrendering, making the fight easier.
- Alternatively, players can apply Bane Poison to weapons before the fight, so they only need to hit Zavish once to win.
This article contains spoilers for the Lost Honour side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.A Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 player online has shared a trick that helps cheese one of the game’s most annoying achievements. This method will be useful for any Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players looking to 100% the game’s achievement list.
The achievement in question is Master of Masters, which requires players to “beat Zavish in three disciplines” during Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s Lost Honour quest. Players must face Zavish three times during this quest. Each fight, players will use a different weapon, including a polearm, a longsword, and a one-handed weapon and shield. However, to succeed in the quest, players only need to win the fight twice, which doesn’t qualify them for the achievement. The difficulty here is that most players don’t use a polearm for combat during Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, making them massively underleveled in that skill for this particular fight. This makes it very tough to win all three fights during this quest.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Could Be the Skyrim of the Next Decade
With its open-ended gameplay, living and breathing world, and mod potential, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 might become the Skyrim of the next decade.
Redditor Zeronaissance has found an interesting way to get around the difficulty of the Master of Masters achievement. During the polearm fight, players can hit the “Surrender” button. This will cause Zavish to stop fighting momentarily and let his guard down. Because the fight is part of a Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 side quest, it appears to glitch out a little, as the player can’t actually surrender. This allows the player to land a hit on Zavish, and they can repeat this until they win the fight. It’s easily done, even for players who haven’t touched a polearm in their entire playthrough.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Master of Masters Achievement Can Be Easily Cheesed
Others had other tips for the fight to make it easier for players looking to unlock Master of Masters. An alternative method involves applying some Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Bane Poison to the weapons before each fight, which essentially makes it so that players only have to hit Zavish once to win. Both ways are viable, but for any player who doesn’t have Bane Poison at this point in the game, the “Surrender” method is probably best.
Over a month after Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s initial launch, there’s still a lot for fans to look forward to going forward. The recent Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 update added the long-awaited barber, and the Hardcore mode is also set to arrive in a free future patch. There are also three pieces of DLC confirmed for this year, ensuring that even if players have completed the main story, there’s even more expansive content on the way. It’s great to see this excellent game get the post-launch love it deserves.
