Marvel Rivals continues to introduce new limited-time events and game modes as new seasons of the game come and pass. One such limited-time game mode is the Clone Rumble Arcade mode, which arrived and is temporarily available to play on and off throughout the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event.
In Clone Rumble, two teams of six players go up against one another. At the beginning of the match, everyone on a team can vote on a choice of hero. Then, one from all possibilities is randomly selected. Once both teams have made their hero selections at the beginning of the game, every player in the lobby will be limited only to those two choices throughout the match. Some heroes stand out in the chaos as more powerful or fun choices to play under such circumstances, and these characters have been outlined in the guide below.

Best Heroes For Marvel Rivals Clone Rumble Game Mode
In Marvel Rivals Clone Rumble, any hero from the roster may be selected. However, players may wish to maximize their experience by aiming to pick those who have either a strategic advantage based on a high skill ceiling, or choices that are among the most fun to play in such a chaotic game mode. A list of notable picks, consisting of characters from all three roles, is outlined below.
The Thing
The Thing essentially turns Clone Rumble into a massive close-ranged boxing match, with everyone just brawling at one another. It’s messy, it’s chaotic, and it’s hilariously fun. If the enemy team lacks any Vanguard of their own, The Thing can essentially just play extremely aggressively into the squishies for a free kill. However, in the case that other Thing mirror picks or Vanguard matchups come into play, The Thing is incredibly fun to use when meeting them head-on in a brawl!
Spider-Man
It doesn’t matter if you’re not some insane, high elo Spider-Man player – we can all admit that it’s ridiculously fun just swinging around the map. In Clone Rumble, having numerous other Spideys zooming around and throwing punches results in extremely engaging, fast-paced combat. Besides, because he does have such a high skill ceiling, veteran Spideys will have that advantage and may be able to dominate such matches. Who could deny that sweet satisfaction of securing the killing combo hit on an enemy Spider-Man?
Iron Fist
Similar to Spider-Man, just minus the swinging around. There’s nothing more fun and chaotic about a lobby full of Iron Fists jumping around and throwing endless punches at one another. Due to the fact Iron Fist has lock-on aim with his close-range punches, and a self-heal/shield buff ability, this makes Clone Rumble even more chaotic. Not only can you play Iron Fist extremely aggro in this game mode. Also, having the ability to self-heal and buff shields while many other picks are only limited to healing through Health Packs or securing kills, is massive.
Magik
Magik has good mobility and self-sustain through the use of her Portals, which are key aspects that make certain characters so much fun during Clone Rumble. While things will undoubtedly be quite jarring visually with the amount of potential sword slashes and portals going on, Magik is another character that results in fast-paced, aggressive Clone Rumble gameplay – which to many, is when the game mode is at its best.
Venom
Much like The Thing, Venom is quite a fun Vanguard choice to consider for Clone Rumble. He’s great at diving in on targets and chasing them down to confirm kills, so if there are squishies in the lobby, they’re the perfect targets for a team of Venom. On the other hand, Venom vs Venom is also another very fun matchup, due to his wall climb and swing abilities.
Jeff the Land Shark
Not only does Jeff have great self-sustain / health regen through his burrow ability, but he can totally maximize this to go on the flank and DPS, especially in Clone Rumble. Furthermore, he works brilliantly with almost any other selection, so a mixed team can be a lot of fun, too. From speeding around allies to chomping the lobby up in your jaws and taking them off the map, Jeff is the perfect chaotic match for this arcade mode.

Captain America
When you have multiple Captain America stacked up on your team, attacking and defending the objective becomes so much fun. Just imagine everyone holding up their shield as they sprint around the capture zone, hurling it like a frisbee through the opposition, followed by a jump and slam. There’s something so amusing about the Cap vs Cap duel, especially when it’s seen in doubles, triples, and so on. Plus, after his buffs, he’s much more viable.
Black Widow
While not as flashy and exciting as other characters, sniper enthusiasts can have a heck of a lot of fun by playing Black Widow lobbies in Clone Rumble. Essentially, this will turn the game mode into something similar to Widowmaker Free For All from Overwatch 2, with players constantly looking to pull off crazy headshots and dominate advantageous map positions. The only downside to this is if there is also a Tank or highly-mobile dive character in play by the opposition, as they have the potential to do a full counter.
Psylocke
Psylocke has a very fun kit even when you’re the only one in the lobby who happens to be playing her – stealth/temporary invisibility, a hitscan weapon, the ability to gain some self-regen through her shurikens, and two dashes that are perfect for mobility and confirming kills. Watching everyone disappear and reappear as they attempt to finish combos and kill one another is both hilarious and so satisfying when you’re the one confirming those kills.
Human Torch
Flying characters have the potential to be completely overpowered in Clone Rumble, as they can simply fly away from ground-locked characters such as The Thing, and attack from out of range. Furthermore, if the enemy team is to be stuck on the ground, then Human Torch is one of the best flyers to choose. He can launch attacks from the sky but also set up huge burning fields as an AOE across vital objective points where those outside of the sky will be forced to play. One flame AOE on its own can be quite generous in size, so having multiple characters who can each create their own flame field to expand the total AOE is very strong.
