Pokemon is eternal, and its trading card game, the aptly titled Pokemon TCG, remains just as vibrant as its video games. Expansions come and go, basking in the limelight before fading, but are never forgotten.

Pokemon TCG: The 12 Most Valuable Cards In Team Up
There are plenty of amazing Team Up alternate arts to go along with the iconic Latias & Latios GX.
Age works wonders for the value of many expansions, as the prices of individual sought-after cards can skyrocket through the years. Yet in Shining Fates’ case, many cards have gone down in value – meaning now’s the time for collectors to grab and go!
Updated on March 14, 2025, by Andrew Scariati: The Pokemon market’s price surge affecting cards across the modern landscape has trickled through Shining Fates as well. We’ve added two Shiny Holo Rares and a full art trainer card that has risen into the top chase cards in Shining Fates.
Cards are ordered according to their market price on TCGplayer, which is subject to change.
15
Raboot (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.10
Hopping Up The Charts
Partially evolved starter Pokemon rarely get the attention they deserve, but Raboot’s dark gray color palette earns it the rare distinction of featuring among the most valuable cards in Shining Fates.
Raboot has seen its fair share of ups and downs, once dwelling closer to $3, and peaking close to the $5 mark, which is where it hopes to settle again. While only the future will tell, Raboot might find a permanent home among the best cards in Shining Fates.
14
Inteleon (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.18
A Shining Spy
Inteleon finds a spot among the most expensive cards in Shining Fates as most of the Shiny Holo Rares, also called “baby shinies,” are trending downward. However, this trend has given Inteleon the chance to rise up the ranks and make an appearance among the best cards in Shining Fates.
While it can’t compare with some of the other Shining Fates chase cards, this Inteleon continues to jump up and down in the $3.50 to $4.50 range, offering opportunities to buy it on a downtrend. However, we caught Inteleon in a decent moment, as it aims to maintain a four-dollar value.
13
Alcremie VMAX (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.56
A Rising Cake
Alcremie surprisingly makes its way into the most expensive Shining Fates cards alongside Pokemon like Koffing. Most Pokemon are separated by the slimmest margin, with the ones to follow also boasting small leads over each other.

Pokemon TCG: The 16 Most Valuable Cards In Paldean Fates
Paldean Fates brings a ton of Shiny Pokemon to the Pokemon Trading Card Game with collectors going wild over these valuable cards.
While some of the most valuable cards in sets like Battle Styles feature a collection of valuable alt arts, Shining Fates primarily boasts shiny Pokemon, making Alcremie’s placement a bit unusual. While this card might drop out of the top spots at a moment’s notice, Alcremie boasts a beautiful rainbow secret rare color palette.
12
Koffing (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.64
Rolling In The Green
Koffing is yet another of a plethora of shiny Pokemon available in Shining Fates, with this green, gaseous Pokemon claiming a spot among the most valuable Shining Fates cards.
However, this Koffing – and many of the best cards in Shining Fates – are separated by only a few pennies, making this an exceedingly tight race for the most valuable card in Shining Fates.
11
Poke Kid (Full Art) – $4.83
Everything Is Better With Eevee
Poke Kid is an oft-forgotten and usually underappreciated character in the Pokemon universe, as this card depicts them in their signature Eevee onesie. Adorable outfit aside, this card’s vibrant background captures the joy of a bright, sunny day while providing the perfect canvas for Poke Kid to shine.
While this card remained humbly below the three-dollar mark for the majority of 2024, the turn of the year saw a massive spike that sent this Eevee fan soaring into the five-dollar range. Though it’s backed off a bit, Poke Kid maintains a fairly strong value.
10
Cinderace (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.88
Celebrating With A Knee Slide
Cinderace finds its way onto the list after initially missing out by a slim margin. This ‘baby shiny’ finds its footing thanks to a strong rebound from the end of 2024 into 2025, after sputtering to disappointing numbers in mid-2024.
As more expensive cards continue to rise, so too will affordable favorites like this Cinderace, though at a much slower rate.
Cinderace finds success once again as card prices rise, causing a trickle-down effect that (surprisingly) positively impacts cards at the bottom.
9
Lapras VMAX (Shiny Holo Rare) – $4.90
Another VMAX Victory
Lapras’ shiny Gigantamax design steals the spotlight thanks to its beautiful assortment of pastel blues and purples, which provide a beautiful background to Lapras’ symphonic Aurora Veil icicles.
Full-art shinies typically command a premium over the smaller-framed ‘baby shinies’

Sylveon shares the spotlight on some of its most expensive cards.
Lapras is another example of a late bloomer, with this card’s price floundering in 2024, finally soaring into the stability of the five-dollar range in 2025. While Lapras backed off from the new highs it made, it’s sure to continue selling in a similar range until another market disruption.
8
Galarian Rapidash (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.17
Everybody Loves The Unicorn
Next up on the list is the living Pokemon equivalent to the ever-popular My Little Pony series. Galarian Rapidash embodies the ferocious and Stoic nature of its Kanto counterpart with added mystical and magical flair (plus a hint of cotton candy). Its shiny form features pastel greens and yellows which are on full display with its Shining Fates card.
Rapidash joined the five-dollar club, but wasn’t able to maintain the mark, as it’s one of many shinies from Shining Fates that are experiencing a slump in value.
7
Yamper (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.51
In By A Nose
This adorable, doughy dog captures our hearts with its tongue hanging out of its mouth and tail wagging with anticipation. However, Yamper barely distinguishes itself from its peers, slotting in among the pack in one of the closest races for set supremacy ever.
Unfortunately for Yamper, its value continues to tumble from the $5 plateau, leaving it in an uncertain freefall that could usher it out of the top spots. However, it’s staying strong for now but will need to see an increase to hang onto its spot among the best Shining Fates cards.
6
Eternatus VMAX (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.71
A Black & Gold Mess
While Eternatus VMAX grabs a spot among the most valuable Shining Fates cards, it doesn’t seem ready to win many beauty contests, with Eternatus’ complex body offering a confusing canvas for a predominantly black color palette.
If you enjoy the Pokemon, then this card should appeal to you, but the art doesn’t make it easy to appreciate Eternatus.
Eternatus is another card currently riding the wave in Shining Fates, with many of the top cards dropping in price since the last time we checked in. However, these moments can be fleeting, so don’t put too much stock in where each card is currently positioned.
5
Galarian Ponyta (Shiny Holo Rare) – $5.83
One Popular Ponyta
The pre-evolved form of Galarian Rapidash jumps ahead by a few more cents, continuing the trend of cards all hovering within a few cents of each other. The five-dollar mark is an important goal to hit for these shiny Pokemon, and Galarian Ponyta refuses to dip below it, after already dropping from eight dollars.

These are the best sets with valuable Eeveelution cards to collect.
While this shiny Pokemon barely misses out on the top three, its value isn’t high enough to secure a permanent spot, but given Ponyta’s potential price, it should remain among the most expensive Shining Fates cards.
4
Ditto VMAX (Shiny Holo Rare) – $8.18
The Beloved Blue Blob
As most VMAX cards do, Ditto VMAX looks like a blue science experiment gone wrong, taking up most of the full art real estate on the card. The background is barely visible behind the stretched-out Ditto artwork, encompassing all but a few sparkles.
Generally speaking, you can get the card for around four dollars, which isn’t too pricey for those who enjoy collecting. However, in terms of visual appeal, the Ditto V artwork might be better and could re-appear among the top spots in the future.
3
Suicune (Shiny Holo Rare) – $9.39
Jumping To The Top
Legendary Pokemon are a part of the franchise that helps build inherent value in the property. These creatures tend to be mystical or ancient and possess some incredible power. Suicune is one of the three legendary dogs belonging to the Johto region featured in Pokemon Silver & Gold.
Its shiny card, which is among the best cards in the Shining Fates set, has a current value just a bit shy of the ten dollar mark. The shiny form of Suicune makes the majestic beast entirely blue as its mane is no longer a rich violet purple color and is instead a powdery blue.
2
Skyla (Full Art) – $14.49
A Sky-High Finish
Pokemon fans who love the series from a nostalgic perspective may not know who Skyla is. She’s the charismatic Flying-type Gym Leader from Mistralton City, featured in both Pokemon Black & White and Black & White 2.
While this card isn’t among the most valuable full-art Trainer cards, Skyla is a popular trainer who appears among the very best.
In Shining Fates she received a full art trainer card displaying some amazing art of the high-flying trainer making it one of the series’ best cards.
1
Charizard VMAX (Shiny Holo Rare) – $119.03
Atop A Fiery Throne Again
It should come as no surprise that the most expensive and sought-after card in the Pokemon Shining Fates expansion set is a Charizard card. The Charizard VMAX card features a shiny Charizard in all of its black-scaled beauty, standing head-and-shoulders above its peers.
Charizard often causes many sets to skyrocket in price, as collectors try their best to get their hands on the beloved Fire-type Pokemon starter.
