Summary

  • As speculation continues to rise whether Starfield will make its way to PS5, the PlayStation logo was spotted on Starfield’s Creation Club page.
  • The logo, which was next to the Xbox and PC logos, was seen as part of a decals mod.
  • That specific page has since been removed, continuing to fuel rumors about a potential port.

While Bethesda’s 2023 RPG Starfield hasn’t been ruled out for a release on PlayStation, it also hasn’t been confirmed for one either. Unlike Forza Horizon 5, which recently had its PlayStation Trophies go live. However, new evidence has emerged pointing to a potential port of the game to Sony’s flagship console.

As first spotted on social media, a Starfield Creation Club mod had the PlayStation logo prominently displayed alongside the Xbox and PC logos. The mod, which was created on March 12, was for Ship Decals.

That said, after quickly going viral, the mod has seemingly been removed. A direct link to the mod, which can be found here, now leads to a “Content Not Found” disclaimer before a redirect to the general “Featured” page.

Starfield On PS5 Hasn’t Been Ruled Out

In late January, when asked if he could solidify Starfield as an Xbox exclusive, Phil Spencer simply said, “No.”

He later followed his comments by saying, “Our strategy is to allow our games to be available. Game Pass is an important component of playing the games on our platform, but to keep games off of other platforms, that’s not a path for us.”

Most recently, the official Starfield Twitter account shared an update, noting that “We have a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year.” Of course, that doesn’t outright confirm a port, and those “things” could be future DLC or general updates, but things do seem to be lining up for an answer one way or the other.
